Firstly welcome to the forum.

Noaxetogrind the GC do have an axe to grind and you are about to get the brunt of their anger, they are not used to people airing views that remotely come close to ours. You are indeed a brave person, good luck.

Historically in the period immediately prior to independence and prior to the invasion by Turkey they were second class citizens with second rate jobs. Perhaps it was the same before that period but I really don't know.

Greek Cypriots have been second class people (actually slaves) of the Turks for 300 years. But I guess you don't care about that. All you care is to support even more crimes and illegalities against Greek Cypriots.

People like you make me sick.

Slaves? The only slaves I'm aware of are the north African ones the Ottoman's brought over to Cyprus after they conquered Cyprus from the Venetians. Do enlighten me if you know more.

everything depends on how we define "slave"
when we agree on that, the second step is easier

Slave definitions are in the dictionary. They may vary in minor degree but not that much I would expect.

Here is the definition:

Slavery is a condition of control over a person against their will, enforced by violence or other forms of coercion.

Turks came to Cyprus to exploit its people and the land. There is no doubt about this.

The condition of a slave; the fact of being a slave; servitude; bondage.

Here are some more from the Oxford English Dictionary, which one are you using?
