British if you don't like Cyprus, go home

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Swashbuckler.

I agree also.

It is not possible to reconcile the GC and TC communities on Cyprus, due to past events, but also current ones, and predominantly that they cannot share power.

We tried that, it didn't work.

Two states on Cyprus does.

Being ethnically cleansed from the lands that we and our ancestors have lived for 1000s of years does not work for us. Of course it works for you since you stole from us more than twice as much from what you left behind.

If you think that you can be ethically cleansed and that would work for you let us know. We will keep it in mind, because as they say "what goes around comes around"

Oh, Sotos your forgeting that it is only one sided towards the British....... when others go to Britain the are expected to follow British rules and values ....... however when they go somewhere they expect that everyone else still follow their values and rules.......because they are terrosrists... in a covert manner.

I strongly object to being called a terrorist, and I think an apology is called for!!

Don't tar everyone with the same brush!

adreasv, if you are going to continue to talk from that orifice I suggest you learn to do hand stands.

Britain is one of the most culturally tollerant countries in the world. On both a national and individual level, for the most part, the British have learned to respect the different cultures and lifestyles that have flourished there.

And i agree with Snad, an appology is definately called for.

I know this topic has not had any contributions lately but as a new member I am reading through many topics.

It has been suggested earlier in this topic that if Brits have any complaints about southern cyprus they should go home. May I suggest that all they need to do is move the north ,where with their contribution to the growing economy, they will do doubt be most welcome.

Historically in the period immediately prior to independence and prior to the invasion by Turkey they were second class citizens with second rate jobs. Perhaps it was the same before that period but I really don't know.

There can be no sensible argument against the fact that the economy of the north will grow at a greater rate than the south. Even if it does not gain the rights of EU membership events will eventually lead to recognition by numerous countries if not all of the world ,bar Greece. It may not finish up as wealthy as the non EU state of Switzerland but there would be advantages in being a non EU state.
