No. I talk about the British that constantly complain not the others. I am not generalizing in this way.

Michalis, how would you react if I came into your home and then started complaining about your house, the way you live, etc etc?

I suspect that your response would be, 'you know where the door is.'

I certainly do not believe it would be 'I can accept criticism.'

I can generally accept people making constructive criticisms, but what I can't stand is when people go to another country, and try to change the culture and way of living to suit them. People should realise that when you move to a foreign country, you must adapt to that country; the country does not have to adapt for you. You must also integrate and try to become one of the natives, not segregate yourselves. When I say this, I am saying it to all groups in all countries generally, not just British people in Cyprus. I believe Britain itself has a major problem regarding this with some ethnic minorities in their country. This is partly why they have the home-grown problem of terrorism today.

Again I say, if you do not like Cyprus; leave!

I think you will find this in any country. I have moved permanently to Cyprus, but I do try to live as the Cypriots do. However, just because I am a foreigner in Cyprus, does this mean I cannot complain sometimes??
I pay taxes just as you do and social insurance.
I think if all the Brits took your advice and went home it would hit your economy. After all who would developers sell their houses to?

Sotos Do you think Cypriots do not criticise other Cypriots? I remember I sat in a Cafe in Paphos and when the cafe owner realised I was Cypriot and asking questions to get information prior to the order he gave me misleading information at the end. I was the only Cypriot on that cafe and I suppose when the owner realised I was Cypriot (and asking questions ) he got offended! He expected for me to sit down and eat whatver sh*t he has cooked!

I think cyprus can cope without BRITISH tourists, and yes the BRITISH have pushed up property prices & are trying to create a little ENGLAND in cyprus, they also like to buy stolen property in the OCCUPIED areas.
And they still occupy are land with there free bases. It was BRITAIN that caused most of the problems in cyprus with there divide & rule tactics & there support for the turkish invasion & occupation of cyprus.
The BRITISH think they can take the piss out of cyprus & the cypriots, they think they are better then the rest of us

If Britain supports the Turkish invasion, why is North Cyprus not recognised by them?????????
