Weekend Markets

Postby orokliniservices » Fri Sep 01, 2006 12:13 pm

I go to the Dhekelia Rd Sunday market nearly every weekend but does anyone know of any others around on Saturdays or Sundays in Larnaca/Famagusta area?
Cheers

There is an advertisment in Orphanides for a car boot on 10th sept by the swimming pool??? not quite sure what they mean but that could be good.

is the sunday market any good? well obviously it must be if you go ever weekend.

I am looking for throws for my bed and settees, can you get this sort of stuff at a good price?

one more question, do you knw when it starts and finishes

thanking you

Jazzy, you might find the throws cheaper in the "indoor market" in Oroklini. I have indoor market in inverted commas because its more of a warehouse for homewares than anything else. Its only open on the weekends, not sure of the times though I'm afraid.

From the roundabout, head towards Dhekelia. When you get to the fire station, turn left (towards the Henipa Hotel). Keep going straight and you will see it on your left. Can't remember if its before or after the bridge, think its before.

Hazza I think your talking about Pick & Pay Oroklini. Its open Wednesdays, Saturdays & Sundays 0900 - 2100 and it is before the bridge.

Very good prices, but I don't buy electrical stuff there now as I bought a juicer and it gave me an electric shock.

Thats the one Snad.

The electrical side of things there are extremely cheap. Now I understand why they are so cheap! Hope it wasn't a bad shock you got Snad.

As for Orphanides, I can't think of a swimming pool nearby.

Hi Hazza

Well lets put it this way if I didn't have rubber soles on, I would have been flying across the room.

Thx for the concern

There is a small one in Timi Village right near Paphos Airport on Sundays. It is only small though sell a mixture of car boot and new stuff.

yes, now it makes sense Jazzy, thank you. Might go give it a visit on Sunday :)

Heading down towards Dekhelia Rd from Larnaca, you'll pass the big Mitsubishi garage on the right, keep going heading towards the hotels. On the right hand side, there is the outdoor swimming pool, near the Agip petrol station. I'm sure thats what they are talking about.
