I've been throught the same process and decided English Curriculum schools are the best option for quick settling in. They have small class sizes, are with other british kids a well as other nationalities and are used to the system.

Depends where you are. I decided on Limassol because there is a bigger choice of these schools (Foleys, American Academy, Heritage, St Mary's, St John's, Logo's etc).

Try www.cypruseducation.com

Good luck

Hi Niki,

How well are your children integrating with the local Cypriot children? This is something which I would want, but wonder if private school is likely to prevent this.

Thanks,
Mark

Hello marpate1

We haven't moved yet but I have met many parents and been to see the schools in the lead up to our move. There are all kinds of nationalities at these schools including many Cypriots so the children are exposed to many cultures.

It was a personal decision as like you I was worried about the settling in when the children have so much to deal with when you move.

Maybe use the english schools for a year while they settle in taking extra Greek lessons and then move to a Cypriot school? The fees are about a quarter of english school fees.
