I was just agreeing that South Cyprus will be a thorn in Turkeys side that will derail her EU aspirations, the EU will use you guys to keep Turkey out and some sort of spaicla partnership will be agreed. Do I think thia is right the GC south using the EU to leverage Turkey into making concessions is another matter.

VP , will you do me a favour and stop calling Cyprus South Cyprus , you are an intelligent man tell us who else in the entire world calls our potatoes South Cyprus or North Cyprus potatoes. South Cyprus pumpkins , North Cyprus oranges , etc etc. Cyprus isn't finished yet as a one entity and dont persist in promoting separatist partitionist ideals.

You are avoiding realities there is a north south divide which has been in place for 32 years, we are the generation that knows anything else. So for us the south of Cyprus is purely GC run for GCs.

But it is wrong VP , sad circumstances have dictated that our people should be divided , we must not accept the current situation as inevitable but all must strive to create the climate of reconciliation , unity , mutual understanding and respect .Cyprus is ours VP , yours and mine and to all Cypriots .

I find al jazeera is pretty good to balance out the "doctored" news we get from the likes of CNN, SKY and BBC...

Can you clarify what you mean by 'doctored'? I'm interested to understand whether you mean biased or actively interfered with by the US or UK governments.
