Cosmetic Surgery

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

I think it is ok if you look really crap and you have complexes or if you had an accident like michalis. But some people over do it. Most boobs made with plastic surgery look totally fake and bad in my opinion.

anastasiaC - are you in proportion?? If you want to be able to wear a size 10 dress and it fits you perfectly on the arse but hangs off your chest, then I'm all for cosmetic surgery.

I don't think it should be called cosmetic surgery. Enhancement is a better word. Some people think that having a boob job for example is just to get porn star boobs. I have a friend in the UK who was a size AA, practically flat chested. She had a boob job, over 15 years ago, with silicone, she went up to a C which looked great and natural. No one is saying go for the Pammie or the Jordan. That is ridiculous. There has been so much study in silicone. You can now get cohesive silicone, which doesn't leak should the worse happen and the coating of the implant is textured so as to avoid scarring on the inside. Also if you have them under the muscle you can still breat feed and they feel quiet natural (as long as they are not toooooooo BIG). You don't have to get them changed every 10 years, thats a myth.

Nose jobs too. Take Jessica Simpsons sister (name fails me). She had a bad hook and bump in her nose. She look fabulous now.

Don't be fooled that "cosmetic" surgery is purely for vainty. Sometimes it is required medically, for your physical and mental well being.

Collagen, botox and lip fillers are purely cosmetic. But, hey, each to their own.

im a D' cup ....always have been and a size 10 ....id much prefer smaller boobs as things just fit better, u can job with ease, no neck strain etc
plus I always have to wear a bra
but I must admit after having my boys and breastfeeding I much prefer them now then before....

Jordan's look is foul!! I dont get that.....do men find that attractive? thats gross in my eyes....

ashley simpson was always cute so why does she have to change the bump on her nose?? I just dont get this changing ones appearance - isnt being unique better?

It's down to self confidence. When you look in the mirror and hate what you see, you have the option to change it now. Some people go made and change everything and end up looking like a completely different person but if its for enhancement and self gratification then go for it.

Another point is that some women feel less than a woman with smaller boobs. Are you telling me that you would reduce your boobs down to an AA? No! you would probably go to a full B or C cup. Some women don't have anything and the ridicule they receive when growing up can be stressful. So in my eyes, as long as you don't go into fantasy land then do it.

Jordan had 800cc put in each breast. The average woman has around 250-350cc. That woman needs a brain implant!!!!

haha a brain implant indeed

I dont mind the flat look - Nicole ritchie and Paris hilton pull it off well
depends what kind of body shape u like
i like the elongated look although not popular with men....

i wouldnt call it enhancement though
its full on surgery with pain, scars etc
so has to be thought about - especially young girls....who most of the time arent confident and have insecurities....

My view is: 'if you have got it, flaunt it!' If you haven't got it, well there is no harm in giving Mother Nature a bit of a helping hand :-)

I agree. A reputable surgeon will not do enhancements on a child, ie under 18. The body hasn't fully developed.

Enhancement means improvment to what is existing. Much better than cosmetic. It is surgery though I'm not disputing that.

The industry is huge in the UK with people giving vouchers for surgery as presents. However, some jobs are really bad and can be spotted a mile off. Keep them in proportion, use a good surgeon (check out previous work he has done, better still by word of mouth), with good aftercare and good products. Don't know about those surgery holidays? There isn't any aftercare and no come back. Plus flying is the last thing you want to do a week after being under the knife!
