olga, elena is cypriot i believe, but not an ignorant one, but an enlightened one, she has every right to say how she feels about her country, i find it refreshing that she isnt steeped in the need to deny that her country isnt as it should be.

That doesn't give a right, however, to call me in all her replies to me uncivilized, uneducated etc.

Cruelty to animals is abhorrent to every civilized human . The criteria for measuring a nations civilization is partly that nations treatment of the weak defenseless animals . We in Cyprus , can be exceedingly stupid in the treatment of animals , domestic pets or other wise , it is a stigma on our culture and we mustt eradicate it not defend it.

I am in the forum longer than you are, and when I said my opinion before, nobody attacked me personally just because the person didn't like my opinion. And I didn't attack anybody before doglover attacked me.

If you cannot accept that there are other cultures with different traditions and ways of life, then it's you who is barbarian.

There are no universal rules to what is right or what is wrong. It depends on a culture. And to say that one of the culture is worse than the other is racist

but olga you are wrong there is a universal enlightenment, and someone that has reached a certain level of enlightenment will see that their ways are not right. spiritual growth and advanced thinking, is open to all cultures, but some need more time than others. If this did not happen we would still be neanderthals, the technology would not have been created, psychology would not have been invented, creativity would have never developed, and human and animal rights would not have been understood. You obviously have limited understanding, and spiritually void or you would not talk so much unintelligent rubbish. So much is written on the net, i would suggest you do a little research before justifying your foolish thoughts..

Before I heard him, I thought in the similar way like you, than our culture is supreme, and others are barbarians.
Now I accept the existance of other cultures and their ways of life, and that we cannot judge them just because we think the way they live is wrong
