Animal Cruelty in Cyprus :(

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

If you dare have a look at this article: http://theseoultimes.com/ST/?url=/ST/db ... p?idx=2166 but be warned, you will be shocked! I didn't manage to read the article because of the pictures. But I would not be able to read such article for pigs either. Would you feel ok to sit and watch pigs being slaughtered miss doglover? Go to Korea and tell them they are not civilized because in the UK they slaughter pigs and not dogs

No I won't read that article, because you're sick in the head to compare the two.

Why don't you and Olga get together, and enjoy a friendly conversation over a bowl of borscht. I am sure she would appreciate the male company.

I'll leave it to the others to tell you how messed up you both are.

you're saying now... that it DOES happen often, from things you've heard or read

Where is it exactly in my post??? Please, number of a line.

I said that I've heard of such cases so I don't need your articles. Where is this word "often" in my posts?

And I said in my posts of last night that I am aware of the problem.

SO NOTHING CONTRADICTS IN MY POSTS!

If you've heard of such cases, and you've read those credible articles, then you will see that everything I have been saying is spot on!

But no... you refuse to, because you won't to argue with me for the sake of it.

No, you said in your posts, something along the lines of... "there are only a few cases of animal cruelty"

Silly girl.

olga, elena is cypriot i believe, but not an ignorant one, but an enlightened one, she has every right to say how she feels about her country, i find it refreshing that she isnt steeped in the need to deny that her country isnt as it should be. That it has many problems with its mentallity and needs to grow up. So many Cypriots justify their thoughts, feelings and actions, but at the end of the day you cant make people see whats wrong they have to emotionally grow, they have to recognise that the way they have been taught by peers, parents and society is wrong and search themselves for the right way of being. 100 years ago the English would think nothing of sending poor children to work in factories, and send children up a chimney. This is a backward society, and it takes time and soul searching for things to change. Cyprus has been a country of denial, because shame is something no cypriot wants to feel, the government hides so much because it doesnt want the outside world to think of it as less than perfect, rapes, child abuse, domestic violence was swept under the carpet for years, and thank god its changing and those that are abused are beginning to have a voice. whilst denial stands, no change is possible.. Now hopefully the real education can start and people will begin to understand the reasoning behind EU directives pertaining to animal and human rights and things will start to change. I am certainly not saying anyone should stop voicing their feelings on here, because no one should ever condone thoses things that hurt other sentient beings..

And yes, that's right, people report their pets being poisoned on a regular basis. Dogs and cats are being poisoned every day, and in some cases

Give me the proof right here! Otherwise, I say you stop
spewing bullsh** from your mouth

When you say something is true, give a proof right here, and don't direct me somewhere else. If you are so aware, why not to give me some numbers right here, ah?

I get really angry too, at the injustices i hear of on a daily basis, its draining and frustrating, and i feel the pain of those its dished out too... Hurting people and animals is never justifiable. And those that try will never have a good arguement.

unique_earthling, would you be so kind and give Olga the number for the Paphiakos dog shelter? I believe you worked there at one point, and maybe still do? Maybe they could educate her about animal cruelty in Cyprus. And I'm not being sarcastic... but unless she hears from a credible source, or experiences it first hand then she won't understand. I have heard about too many cases of peoples dogs being poisoned, as I am sure you have too. I'm not just arguing for the sake of it.

And Sotos' comment... well that just goes to show what kind of character he is. Enough said.

Olga seems to agree with everything he says, so she is just as bad. She's a coward, and a dumb one at that.
