By the way, I will probably get banned from this forum for my last post but Piratis will go on his merry way telling people to " shut up bitch " and Sotos will still tell people that they have " dicks up their arses " and they wont even get a warning !! And that is the sort of " democracy " you will see in Cyprus.

Goodbye to all as I expect to be banned as there is one rule for the homelanders and one for the " foreigners ".

I agreed with everything you said, except the part about Russian women. I understand that because Piratis, Sotis, and Olga have upset you by their rude and insensitive comments, you lashed out at them, and no longer want to be a part of this forum. I strongly agree that Piratis should no longer be a moderator, because he seems like a very nasty person that doesn't like to be told that his country is far from perfect. This is the pride and arrogance that drives me up the wall! Before you know it, he'll join Matsakis by the base and start waving the Cyprus flag, whilst stoning the British.

Anyway. Not all Russian women in Cyprus use their bodies to get what they want. There are only a few Russian girls working in the cabarets here, but let's not forget the many more Russian women that are educated and have good honourable jobs.

My sister in law is from the Ukraine, and she is incredible in many ways.
She loves animals. She has a very good job. Good morals, etc.

I sincerely hope that you have not been banned... because we need more people like you to speak up, and educate some of these people!

Also... we might want to think twice before we start arguing with Piratis and Sotis. They might have friends in Cyta who might be able to tell them our location from our IP address, seeing as Piratis is dangerous and can get that information. He might come and poison our dogs... or throw a grenade into our living room window, as this so often happens here.

what? grenades get thrown in windows in cyprus?
now you are making it sound worse than New York....
no need to get nasty again, doglover! remember "you can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar," so the saying goes....
no one needs to stoop to sotos and piratus' level.

Well, over here... if someone opens a kiosk on the same road as another kiosk, and the owner loses business.. they might get someone to throw a grenade in the other persons shop window. I knew this sweet lady that it happened to in the village where I live. It's happened quite a few times actually. And of course people have put bombs in peoples cars also. This doesn't happen all of the time, but it has on several occassions. There's quite a bit of crime here when taking into account the small population compared with other countries.

If certain Cypriots poison their neighbours dog for no reason, then what are Piratis and Sotos capable of doing, seeing as they strongly disagree with us, and don't feel so strongly about animals like we do? I wouldn't put it past them, from the behaviour they are showing. Cyprus is a small place, and if you know someone in Cyta, you can obtain anyones location by giving them their IP address.

Doglover

Are you saying that grenades have been thrown in the windows of kiosks in your village 'quite a few times'?

It's really hard to believe; I would have thought it would have made the news. The occasional car bomb in Limassol yes, but 'quite a few' grenades in one village!!!!!

A policeman in my village of yeroskipou had his front door bombed, and a car was blown up near the square so it does happen. And people are always in fear that it will happen so try not to upset anyone..

No Lana, maybe I should have explained myself a bit better. What I meant was, it has happened once in my village, but I've also heard of the same thing happening in other areas! And it's usually the case of "oh, but I was here first, and he is making me lose business!" Maybe you don't watch the news much? Or maybe it doesn't even make the news because it isn't 'news' anymore?

Or maybe you would just like to argue with me, because Piratis is your friend?

Anyway, it didn't make the news. Can you imagine the reporter saying on television "An unidentified man threw a grenade into this kiosk in the early hours of the morning. The kiosk owner said that she had received threats for opening a kiosk within short distance of another one!"

And let's not forget the souvlakia shop that was burnt down for opening directly opposite another souvlakia shop in town!

Yes, they have to be very careful where they open their business, as to not upset other business owners in the area!
