And I see you don't understand that I am AGAINST the cruelty over the animals. And I am aware of the problem in Cyprus. Just you say it in the way like this problem exists only in Cyprus!

You say that in the UK there are SOME sick people who torture animals. In Cyprus there are also SOME sick individuals that torture. According to you, every second Cypriot has tortured at least one animal in his/her life.

OFF TOPIC: I don't consider Cyprus as a rosy paradise, I've been here for a long and there have been many different things, good ones and not really. What I don't like is that many people here think that if a Russian comes here he/she is for sure so poor that he/she is happy just to be here.

people report their pets being poisoned EVERY DAY

Do you have any proof to this? Or somebody told you who was told by somebody else and so on?

The treatment of animals in Cyprus is nothing short of an absolute disgrace , such behaviour stems from ignorance and not necessarily malice. The general concept about animals is they are only" ktina " and such beings do not "pethenoun" but psofoun" A derogatory word that is used crudely to describe the death of an animal.
I still maintain that cruelty to animals in Cyprus is due to ignorance and not related to sick cruelty to animals as exhibited in European countries. Let us remember that not that long ago , families in the UK would visit London Zoo with gifts for the lions and tigers which gifts , live cats and dogs, the children were egged on to throw into the Caucasus cruel practice was taking place in the land of animal lovers less than one hundred years ago.
Cyprus will have to make a complete reappraisal of their feelings towards animals starting from schools and other institutions coupled with a campaign by animal lovers to educate the ignorant.

If a person has a different opinion than you it doesn't mean that the person is worse than you or able to go for some cruel acts.

Nobody said that it's right to poison dogs, cats and so on, neither Sotos said this, nor Piratis. The point is that if you say you love animals don't divide them into a pets' group and a group of other animals

it was Piratus and sotos that is lumping all the animals together. the thread was originally about pets. PETS.

and STOP ALREADY WITH THE HYPOCRIT SHIT PIRATUS

Sounds like you've eaten at McD*nalds lately...

The really funny thing is that they actually advertized chicken fingers, made with real chicken, for a limited time.
