[I have read the whole story here. Disappointing. I agree in principal with the handling and advice offered here.
However, In my opinion, the only thing that really strikes me a little bit, is the fact that the husband of Andry was either too cool or he is a soft character. He should have shown a bit more strength and bravado perhaps. Because, his wife was under extreme danger from the attacker to inflict serious injuries to her. In this instances one has got to be vigilant and quick to respond with the necessary determination.
One does not seat and Analise what are the consequences of a judgement by the justice system.

I believe he hit Andri_cy once, by slapping her in the face. He was not a stranger, that barged into the house and started attacking her, for Andri's husband to defend her with all his might. If that was the situation, sure, let the bastard have it. As the saying goes, "I rather be judged by 12, than be carried by 6". What I think happened, was Andri got between the bastard and his wife, to prevent him doing any more harm to her. He just "sucker punched" Andri which then her husband removed him from the house. At this point, the damage had been done, and any excessive force would have been damaging to Andris family.

I do not believe my husband showed weakness. Weakness would have been for him to act like an idiot and start kicking butt left and right because that is what he wanted to do of course. I asked him to not get himself arrested because that is the last thing I needed and he obliged me. My husband wasnt even there when this all happened. He was in the back of the house, outside fixing an old car he has in the garage. The guy came over looking for his wife and I wouldnt let him in my house so he hit me. My daughter, went and told my husband that "emma's husband hit mommy". My husband rushed in the house all red and blue. I knew he was going to kill him or something so I told him to not do anything stupid. When he got outside the guy tried to run like a little girl and fell, and the sight of that kind of made my husband think it wasnt worth it getting in trouble for someone like that I guess. He "helped him up" off the ground, shoved him in his car and told him he had to go.
Btw, kikapu the DA doesnt want to plea bargain because apparently something like this has happened before involving this guy. Do I guess I am going to be stuck with this for a while.

Well, if this guy was on the DA's and the Courts "shit list" and was on his last chance to become an "Standing Citizen", then it may well be out of your hands, as to what happens to him, short of dropping all the charges against him, which is something only you and your husband needs to decide on.

"Superior Idiot" give me a minute to look up the word "recalcitrant".................. Ah, yes, "refusing to obey or to be controlled, even after being punished"... Sounds like you were one of the criminals that wanted to control the Turkish Cypriots in 1963 and beyond, so therefore I accept to be called "recalcitrant".
