Cyprus and baby strollers..........

Postby anastasiaC » Mon Aug 28, 2006 5:29 am

This sounds strange but last time I was in Cyprus I didnt really see many people with baby strollers.
Is that because the footpaths are narrow and not suitable for baby strollers or do people not go out walking/shopping with their kids?

Never thought I would see those 3 words in the same sentance!

But to answer your question, Cypriots do not walk.

Thus no need for strollers

Exactly as Sneezing7 said.

Most children are carried as the child is dressed in designer clothes and the child is used as an accessory.....

What you mean you haven't seen the mothers driving with babies on their laps!!!! :!: Or standing in the front  , or hanging out of windows  . the have large STROLLERS here. They could seriously do with seeing some of the road accident adverts that are aired in the UK.

its funny you wrote this anastasiac. I was just saying to my Husband yesterday how we seem to be the only ones with a buggy.
Its an absolute nightmare. There are no roads to walk on half the time.
I couldnt even contemplate going to look round the shops with my kids in tow, its just not feasable.
I have 2 children aged 1 AND 2, I wondered if i should have bought my double buggy over from england rather than 2 seperate ones but thank god I didnt. it just means I have to go with someone when I go for a walk so they can push the other buggy!!!!
how do people with wheelchairs cope?

I carry my car seats in the car all the time for my kids, especially with the number of dangerous drivers. yesterday I saw a car going along with a toddler sitting on the window part of the backseat (window rolled down obviously)whilst being held in by the person sitting in the seatbelt. unreal!!!!!!
