In this case the charges are, premeditated murder, attempted murder and conspiracy to kill.
In the Louise Jensen case the charges WERE kidnap, conspiracy to rape and MURDER reduced early on to manslaughter because of the difficulty of showing planning whilst drunk. With sentences reduced on appeal, the last of that 3 were released last week after serving less than half their 25 years.
Would nt you guys be better off turning the trial and sentencing, for these latest 3, over to the English (who are also legally entitled to prosecute them) to avoid another travesty like that?
Over here at least a JURY can use its commonsense to decide whether its murder or manslaughter? eg. "I didnt mean to kill him judge i was drunk!"
Does the fact that the person killed was Cypriot and not Danish mean you will be less keen to let them out of jail quickly to send them back to the UK at the earliest opportunity?
Are Cypriot lives worth more (prison time) than others?
