I agree with all your positive writings

I knew that you would agree Mehmed, because you are a young person not involved in the geopolitical strategies of the ones who rule your country.

I hope that you will manage to stay in this way and not to be sucked into the hate propaganda of some.

Those that promote disrespect and hate promote only the interests of a few elites, while they violate the human and democratic rights of Cypriots and keep the majority of the 70 million Turks into lower standards of living and away from progress.

Mutual respect can only help Cyprus and Turkey and our region in general.

Ok, that is a good start but we know that can't happen overnight. This should theoretically be something easy for the youth to do as they do not remember most of the bad past events. In order to forget we can't just decide to forget we need to forge a partnership between the communties and slowly build up trust to the point where the shadows of these events dwindle away into insignificance. What kind of measures would you like to see introduced to build trust between the two communities?

III-We can increase our partnerships about.(For example like this; a few months ago a Greek Bank bought % 49 of a turkish bank. This is a good partnership. And sometimes Turkish & Greek artists work together. This is an other example. We can find more examples.)

this would be a good answer to your question

Yes You are right Piratis..
In Real, most of Turkish people think as me.But some racist people in the government direct them to enmity.
Anyway i can say you that, just our president ( Erdogan ) and his party look like real turkish muslims. The others are racist,comunist,nationalist..(MHP,TKP,CHP,GP..) The people who think like me are just a few in Turkish government.
But it doesnt mean we cant solve the problems with our neighbours.
It will just take some more times.SO, i advice you to be patient.
In this Turkish government, a real turkish muslims dont have rights to study at university..did you know this?...

I didn't know that...I hope that things change in your country for the better Mehmed II! And great thread by the way!;) :)

I honestly think that trust can be build, bit by bit, because I believe that we have something to build it on! TC's and GC's haven't always distrusted each other, it's only recently, the past 50 odd years, that events have occurred, that has worn away the trust slowly, but I honestly don't think it's all gone.... :)

Peace!! :D

Mehmet, I understand you are a mainland Turk, and you talk about forgetting the past to solve the differences between mainland Greeks and mainland Turks, am I right?

Here however my friend is CYPRUS. We have pending matters here, and very SERIOUS indeed, that unless resolved WE SHALL NEVER FORGET.

Not to be able to visit all of Cyprus is no disgrace , not to want to visit all of Cyprus is as shame , but to want to
visit every corner of Cyprus and have to show your f..ng passport is a bloody disgrace.
So lets get get moving and sort it out .Cyprus belongs to us all , EQUALLY.

I personally like very much Sn Erdogan.I believe he is an honest person..

You seem to dislike the communists although you seem to be a relegious person (real muslim) as you said. But relegion is more close to communism than capitalism. How do you distinguish muslim from communism or socialism?
