Would any of you kind forum users please tell me what kind of TAX is paid on Football bets or any bets in Betting Shops in Cyprus and can you pay the tax in advance on your bet at a lower rate when you place it. Any other useful information would be helpful too.

25% tax on fixed odds paid in advance, win or lose. Daylight robbery. 10% for horseracing, paid in advance, win or lose. This pushes many people to use illegal betting shops.

CRIKEY !!! How the hell is anybody in these places. Last time I was in Cyprus they were full up. WHY ??
