Pafos Woman Raped

In the third alleged rape in the Pafos region in the last 10 days, a 23-year-old woman reported that two men sexually assaulted her on August 20th.

She told police that between 11pm and 1am she was held against her will and raped by two men. Police have since arrested and remanded two men, 21 and 29-years-old, for kidnap and rape. The men, whose names haven't been released, are being questioned at Polis Chrysochous police station and have been remanded for four days.

Things have changed, I'm very sorry to say. The good thing is that it's a small place and the police can get information pretty quickly.

Having grown up here, I am sad to see this situation getting worse.

This problem will only be getting worse in the near future. The majority of the male population of men aged between 18 and 30 in Cyprus it appears to me do not know how to take NO for an answer. My niece, 15 years old and her friend recently were pestered non stop at a pub in Paphos last month by 3 men ( aged between 20-25 ) and eventually her brother and a few of us had to give them the serious " fuck off " treatment to get them to stop it. I blame the brothels that are frequently springing up all over the place where you can have sex with basically a gorgeous looking Russian model for about £30 and thats leading to Cypriot men becoming oversexed and if they havent got the money they are now deciding they will get it for free !!

yeh I know.... it just came to me as a shock when I saw the front page of Reportfromcyprus , "crime in Nicosie ", "rape in Pafos" and "teen murdered in Protaras" was the first things to catch my eyes .....
but I guess theses things happen everywhere....

yes and dont forget to mention that some of the crimes over here are comitted by foriengners the teen killed in protaras where by english guys.theres going to be big trouble soon over here to many non cypriots live here in such a small place. the problem is they bring their bad atitude with them.

yesterday was my first night out in pafos, we went to a club where naked english tourist girls were dancing strip in the shower cabin. i always thought pafos is a calm place for old english couples

I do agree that the Cypriot born guys that come down to Napa do seem to think that any women that are not Cypriot are easy prey. I think it may have lots to do with what they see go on. If they see a certain girl exposing herself to lots of guys they then think that they are entitled to some. They seem to know very little about luring a girl, they actually think that demanding her to leave with him is gonna make her want to have sex with him.
