This is a good idea. Although I'll cheat and add 6...

1. The people are warm and friendly.
2. So many other people from so many other countries to meet - there's always something to learn from someone.
3. The beautiful beaches - and the way the warm water envelops you.
4. The food - far better than Greek food, if you ask me...
5. The laid-back lifestyle.
6. The way old civilization meets our modern one.

Well can I just say it is pouring down with rain here in UK at moment, so I know where I'd rather be!

Also, does anyone know anything about St Lazarus' Church? Has it actually been proved that he is buried there? Or is it just a myth?

Once you live in a place where you live next to someone for 2 years and you still dont know what he looks like, you will appreciate your neighbors caring too much :p . To me at least I would rather they cared too much than none at all.

My neighbours in Australia are wonderful.......old greek couple next door and young Greek couple with 2 kids on the other
we go round of coffee and hang out every now and then.......

but my neighbours in Cyprus were lovely too! and they still make time to check in on my grandparents!
i was shocked that the couple next door have now divorced though........I always thought they were the loving family, apparently he slept around and then started beating up on her!! I was shocked to hear it!

You're lucky to have good neighbors in Australia too then. I have good neighbors where I live now, but up until I boiught this house we lived in an apartment building for 3 years and I never met my next door neighbor. I know we had one cause I could hear them in the apartment.

Thanks reportfromcyprus, got my son staying for 2 months so no time, and Andri, i broke my ankle 6 months ago and i live in an apartment on the third floor, and never once did any of my neighbours knock to see how i was, they dont get involved with single women. Thank goodness for my friends or i would have been stuck without food.
