* HOW CAN YOU EXPLAIN THE ENGLISH MILTARY BASES IN CYPRUS?

* HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THE EXISTENCE OF NO SOCIAL MOVEMENTS IN CYPRUS?

* WHERE ARE THE EXPERTS AND RESEARCHERS AND ACADEMIC STUDIES TO DO POLITICAL REFORMS IN CYPRUS?

* WHY THE CYPRUS SOCIETY IS NOT INTERESTED IN POLITICS?

* WHY PEOPLE ARE JUST BARKING BEHIND WEALTH AND MONEY?

* ..............................???????????????

You are absolutely right about money and wealth, I know many Cypriots who put wealth above principles and family. There are a lot of Cypriot "money creeps" who think that the more money a person has the more important they are. I have lost contact with some of my Cypriot relatives because they have moved up the financial ladder and they don't want to know their less well off cousins, it does not bother me because I'm quite content with my lot.

And all that incredibly boring conversation about money, investments, how much this or that cost them, on and on.

All I hear is "I'm so good...I'm so brilliant, better than you...better than everyone..." It's intensely boring. I immediately start yawning.

There's more to life.

It depends on the Cypriot.

Material things are extremely important right now in this society. People feel inadequate if they don't have the latest luxury car, and the irony is that so many people who have these cars can't afford them.

It's almost like, the person's identity depends on their symbols. Like a priest wearing a cross or a woman wearing a wedding ring. Now, you are what you drive or what you wear or how much you have in the bank.

You know what, I admire Cypriots (Not at all biased here or anything...;)). After all they've been through in the past, and I mean ALL Cypriots here, they have still manged to get on with their lives, hold their heads high, and walk around with a big smile on their face, as well as retain hope for the future, instead of just giving up!!

BRAVO, I say!!

dont you think my friend that it is a little bit a kind of backwardness,
instead of looking for the good education that shoulld be presented to the society in all terms and providing space for people to live separated with materialism even european countries have deppassed this period of you are wht you wear and what you drive
