Are we all war mongers?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Why do you participate more in fights than peaceful discussions?

I am a war monger

Are we all war mongers?

Postby Sotos » Tue Aug 22, 2006 9:35 am

I noticed something. When there are threads with fights and name calling I see 100s of posts and a lot of interest. When the threads are about peace and agreement then the interest disappears. It is like we are entertained from fights and peaceful discussions are boring   Are we all war mongers?

This is a debate forum my friend.
Fights are common in such debates.
People shout, do a lot of name calling, etc etc. this is usual and normal.
Deep inside there is friendship and respect.
People who seem to hate each other in this forum, will be terribly depressed if the other goes away.
Don't get wrong conclussions.

I once joined a forum where they were discussing abortion. The leader there was an American college student girl around 19-20 who had one abortion. Believe me she was a psycho, She was attacking so rudely everybody who advocated the right of women to have abortion. She was almost crying for her lost baby in every post, as if that would bring back the child herself had killed….
Her biggest enemy was one who had 14 or so abortions because her husband wouldn’t take any measures …

So don’t get surprised of what happens here. The Cyprob is an extremely hot issue that affects our everyday lives. The atmoshpere here is comparatively calm me thinks.

I take this opportunity to ask our Cypriot Pharmacist Dr Kikapu, what medicine he would prescribe to those women? :?:

We're not war mongers. The kind of battles we see here are harmless because they're not physically violent. There's no incitement to violence to the masses, just us CY-forumers solving the world's problems in our own little ways.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, no matter how eloquently or ignorantly expressed :)

A morning after pill, RU 286 (prevents conception) which is still not freely available in the States. USA is totally screwed up on the abortion issue. The want young girls to say the words, that Nancy Reagan said 15 years ago to combat unwanted pregnancies, which was, "JUST SAY NO". !!!

I know at least one person that if he answered to this thread a honest vote from him would be "I want hate between the two communities".

Unfortunately there are several pro-partition people who don't come to discuss but they come to spread hate trying to prove that the two communities can not coexist. Those people are very loud, but when we are discussing some issues here (e.g. http://www.cyprus-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=7141 ) they remain silent since such kind of discussions do not serve their aim of partition.

Unfortunate but true.

He,he,he I will turn m  yself into the betting man of the forum.
I bet you are a pharmacist there in Switzerland…

But Dr Kikapu, I meant a medicine to calm those women down, something like the miracle "estrogen" you prescibed to the males in this forum.

Hey Piratis if you press a bit more VP will come tell you he does not beleive it will ever happen and he will start playing his partition violin once again.

I mean 99.99% (*) of his posts are for partition, everybody knows that.
