We received an email from Hotbed Media who are producing the programme 'Build, Buy or Restore' for the Discovery channel and are looking for prospects in Cyprus.

Hotbed Media, is producing a third series of the popular property programme 'Build, Buy or Restore' for the Discovery channel and are currently looking for contributors. This time its abroad and we are seeking couples that are currently living in France, Spain, Portugal or Cyprus or are thinking of relocating to the mentioned countries. The programme will be exploring the pros and cons of self-building and renovation/conversion versus simply buying a finished home.

We are searching for couples who are looking to move house and are interested in knowing more about self-build and renovation/conversion in one of the locations mentioned above, but who haven't taken their first steps yet. Filming takes place over two days between September and November.

Couples will benefit from expert advice and an insider's look at an array of properties in their chosen locations geared towards their needs and desires as well as their price range. The couples are guided through the process by our self-build expert, Editor-in-Chief of Homebuilding and Renovating Magazine, Michael Holmes.

If you are only just considering moving and you have a budget of £150,000 or more, let the Build Buy or Restore team come to your assistance and perhaps open your eyes to some exciting options you may not have thought suitable or possible! They filmed in a very expensive villa in Aphrodite Hills and also in my friend's Mother in Law's much more modest house in Nicosia. I do not know when it will be broadcast or if it has already been broadcast; I will find out.

Who was that? I know some of the Superior people - well at least those in Paphos. I thought a UK company (forgotten their name!) arranged the Aphrodite Hills visit.

OK, the programme will be broadcast on 8 January, 9pm (UK time) on SKY's Discovery Real Time.

I missed the programme on the 8th. so checked out the Discovery Real Time website for the times of repeat transmissions (programmes seem to be repeated ad infinitum). Under 'Build, Buy or Restore' they list two episodes on Cyprus; one featuring Nicosia and the other Paphos. I watched the latter last night, with a very unenthusiastic couple being shown a resale in Pegeia, a ruin in Fyti and a plot in Choletria. I can't imagine that Aphrodite Hills featured in the Nicosia episode, so is there another one in the pipeline ?.
