Power Surge

Had 2 power surges in the space of an hour. What causes a power surge and what can I do to stop it happening again? Its powered my computer down 2 times, its scared the cat both times with the flicker of the lights.

Is there anything I can do to stop it happening?

you can get an anti-surge lead from belkin, not sure about the cats issues tho, pet psychologist?

The lights flickered but my computers didn't power down :D I think AHK had some problems yesterday. This issue was reported by people in Limassol, Nicosia and Larnaca!
