No Cypo's!! Why?

Postby Hiyar herif » Sat Aug 19, 2006 6:23 pm

Im six months into my travelling ( in New Zealand now )
and I havent come across a single Cypo.I've seen plenty of French,Italian and a few Spaniards, but no one from our part of the med.

It seems the only travelling cypo's do is between England and Cyprus.

I met a guy in Argentina from Istanbul but it wasnt the same.I wanna bump into someone from Cyprus, and talk about the lack of variety of olives and why helloumi costs 15 bucks for a poxy little thing eventhough there's over 40 million sheep here.

Ah well, the beers pretty good - and the scenary alone is worth the trip.

Maybe you could try posting on one of the NZ forums? Just a suggestion!
Try http://www.backpackerboard.co.nz/forum/index.php
You may be able to raise some Cypos there and not frighten the sheep by using a megaphone?

The Halloumi has had a long journey so I'm not surprised it was expensive. Doesn't matter how many sheep they have in NZ Halloumi can only be made in Cyprus.

Oh Stop!!! I'm stuck here in rainy England, wanting to be in Cyprus - with the only option for halloumi being Tesco or Aldi.!!
Still, I suppose that's better than your options at present re halloumi.

yeah loads in australia..but they just live there, they call people from the med wogs out there
can you believe that?
but what i meant was that ive not encountered any backpakers, just travelling, taking a break from the norm..
i've met people who don't even know that there is such a place called cyprus..
