Hey, I've heard that people say that English sounds like snake language, lol

Here I'm going to ask you to be as stereotypical as possible........

Greek Cypriots (or just...Greeks too)........ what do you think Turkish sounds like to you?

Turkish Cypriots(or just...Turks too)......... what do you think Greek sounds like to you?

I'm interested to hear replies.

Turkish to me sounds very heavy and not very nice.

Best sounding language: Italian!

you sure your not thinkin of arabic -
and keep in mind the turkish spoken in turkey is different to the way it is spoken in cyprus(especially turkish from the east and northern turkey ),its almost another language -
I think greek is on the same wavelengh to italian (if you know what I mean).I speak a bit myself,

I like the way the old generation turkish and greek cypriots speak English.I find their broken accent quite funny...''Re boyz when I woz you'are age..I used to jump frrom hiyar to they'are'' if you know what i mean.

Cadaunovera. Most of the younger Cypriots speek excellent English.. far better than the older generation of Cypriots
I remember my father in law who had learnt most of his English from British soldiers in the 2nd WW. The toilet was always reffered to as the pis*house and the suchlike ...excellent colloquial English but slightly embarrassing at times

I learnt my Greek in the mountains and am often reffered to as speaking Tourkos
