Has anybody used or heard of halcyon properties they are an agent in Paphos?

I know the company/owner; they have been operating here for some time and I have heard nothing bad about them. However, they are not members of the Cyprus Real Estate Agents Association, a pre-requisite for selling property legally here.

Do you mean to say anyone not a member of CREAA that is selling property is not legal? or that you must be a member to sell legally?

Hi GG

Anyone not a member of the CREEA or an employee of such a member is working illegally if they take payment for selling property (excluding developers and their employees, selling properties owned by them).

So, 'Yes', GG and there are some very big names out there who are not members and who opearte illegally here. A number of prosecutions are underway, but as we know, Justice works slowly here (and often not at all!).

We have members of this Forum working illegaly in this way.

Punishment can include a fine and up to one year in Jail.
