Do men and women interpret power differently?

I mean power in inter-personal relationships, financial position, social position and politics.

Ok, now that I have got my trousers back into shape I will answer sensibly. Well try to anyway.

A mans idea of power is usually the power that comes with money, buying power, power over other people, power over gorgeous women, ego, confidence, to have a larger mercedes than the neighbour, to be needed, to be classed as a valuable asset etc.

A womans idea of power is to be able to have all the above without needing to involve or answer to a man and to achieve it independently (whilst wearing a 2 piece black pinstripe business suit).

The majority of women I know who have achieved this is through the divorce of such man.

So it's about buying power for men, and emotional power over people for women?

With Greeks its more about being seen to be powerful rather than being powerful. Hence so many Greeks have flash cars bought on finace, hence how they have one kitchen they use and another kitchen for show etc.

To me (I am a woman) power is the ability to influence and money influences. Other things like respect, women, material things and so on comes from having power. Men respect power, women are attracted to powerful men. Men get more benefits from being powerful than women. Also, men seek out power more than women and men seek power on a much larger scale than women. Women are still more localized in their actions but men want to rule the world!
