Hi,
I am looking for a little help please. I'm a Greek Cypriot living in Canada...I'm trying to locate my father. My parents divorced 23 years ago and that was the last time I spoke to my father. The last I heard was he moved back to Cyprus in 1988 after the divorce and as far as I know he still lives there on the Greek side, possibly in Larnaca. I have looked at the white pages but no listing for his first name. Does anyone have any ideas where I can continue my search? I have very limited information but thought I would try this forum.

I am not GC and i am not from Larnaca but i think you may try it from here. Cyprus is small and usually people know each other. If here is any GC from Larnaca in the forum around the same age with ur Dad, i guess its not very difficult to find him... but i am not sure

You might start with his name and age maybe people can help you.

He will be around 70...his name is John (Yannis)Procopiou or Spelled Prokopiou.

Weapon, The formal way of typing the name John in Greek would be Ioannis. I havent found any in Larnaka so far but I have found a few in Lefkosia. Go to http://www.cytayellowpages.com.cy/direc ... en_dir.asp and type in Prokopiou and then Ioannis and try different districts. Good Luck.

hey weapon x.I have the phonebook for larnaca ,the edition is 2003-2004 tho.Anws there are more people with that last name than those that come up on the site.

There is one called Prokopiou Ioannis.If u want the number tell me so ill send you a pm with it,i dotn think its right to post it on here.I hope is his number!

Hi Cadaunovera, Thanks for your help and reply...I'm pretty sure he spelled his frist name Yannis, can you see if there is a listing in the Larnaca ph book with that or something close to that spelling. Last name is either Procopiou or Prokopiou.
