Inebahti Sea War is the first defeat of the Ottoman Navy. Consequently, a new navy was organised by the order of Sultan Selim II. Kilic Ali Pasha was commissioned to construct a navy and he prepared everything before the spring. The Crusade Armada failed to invade Cyprus in Inebahti. Sokullu Mehmed Pasha, the responsible of the Inebahti defeat, said that to the Ambassador of Venice, Barbaro:
“We cut your arm by taking Cyprus Kingship. But, with your victory over our navy, you cut our beard. An arm can not be recovered but shaved beard grows thicker.

Osmanlı donanmasının ilk defa bozguna uğradığı İnebahtı Deniz Savaşı’ndan sonra, II. Selim’in emriyle yeni bir donanma kurulur. Donanmayı kurmakla görevlendirilen Kılıç Ali Paşa, bahar ayında donanmayı her şeyi ile hazırlamıştı. İnebahtı’da Kıbrıs’ı almak için uğraşan Haçlı Armadası bu amacına ulaşamamıştı. İnebahtı bozgununun sorumlusu olan Sokullu Mehmed Paşa, 7 Mart 1573’de Venedik büyükelçisi Barbaro’ya :

"Biz sizden Kıbrıs Krallığı'nı alarak kolunuzu kestik. Siz ise donanmamızı yenmekle bizim sakalımızı tıraş ettiniz. Kesilen kol yerine gelmez ama tıraş edilen sakal daha gür biter."

Beards grow "ticker " ? I hate bloody beards cant stand them ! If beards were heavily taxed and if immigrants coming to to Europe were made to sign a declaration that they will shave at least once a week we would not have these dirty looking individuals with beards down to their balls .
Abolish beards , that's what I say !!!

If I can also say that my dislike of beards , earrings on men , body piercing , is due to an allergy that I have and my doctor advised that there is only one cure , grow a bloody beard have two earrings , to make me look cool , and a bloody nail going through my lower lip protruding 3 inches below my chin.

U sound like my dad - u are both similar in age actually
he hates all the above....
I dont like body piercing and tattos myself but the beards I dont have an issue with although Id kill my hubby if he grew one!
clean shaving is best for me.......
