Turkish Cypriots are no more than a minority

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby bg_turk » Wed Aug 23, 2006 8:06 am

These days I have too much time and it is mine to waste, but do not worry I will soon "languish in total obscurity".
I never understood people like you who believe in unity in Cyprus. The truth is glaring you in the face and you still refuse to see it.

Just look at the posts of Marz, Polypol... and the likes above. They are radiating intense hatred and contempt for everything Turkish. THey consider calling somebody a Turk or Mongolian an offense, whereas for me and many TCs no doubt it is simply a part of our identity. How do you expect these kind of sickened Greek nationalists to live together with Turkish Cypriots?

Your concept of a Cypriot nation is still a very nascent idea, and is being torn apart by Turkish and Greek nationalists. I think you will have to work harder to lure people into your [fake] Pan-Cypriot ideology.

Keep it up and maybe one day you can pursuade all the people on this forum and you, the united members of this forum, can all establish a Cyber Cyprus, home to Cyber Cypriots. When you get enough people, you can even apply to the UN for member status to ask for several square meters of land to place your server.

And how come you prophesize this scenario , you obviously underestimate the bond that exists between the communities , this bond is called CYPRUS , an island that , correct me if I'm wrong , you have never set a foot on , an island with which you do not share one iota of common ancestry , an island that has a history of thousands of years that you do not have any connection with what so ever , and yet you arrogantly write it off from the comfort of Bulgaria which I'm sure is your birth country and that you are a remnant of the Ottoman empire still buried in the past .

In the end TC seem not to like Turks either. Most of them do not want to communicate with any barbaric settler from anatolia.

BGTURK

You are trying to lie to everyone here about what i said to you, the proof is in your previous posts. i didnt discriminate or radiate hatred to Turks.
JUST BARBARIANS and you said you are one.

Some tc here only want a seperate Turkish state unless We offer them a better deal, the fact is we dont need anything from them apart being free in our own country, the TC only want what is only in their own interest and they have more to gain than we do yet they still try to turn the table by saying we are losing, its the TC that is losing by not comprimising on a fair solution.
As i said all people want to freely go about ther lives in the own land and dont give a crap what the TC around them are doing people are beyond that whole thing where they want to kill and start war.
Only the TC are scaremongering themselfs and using it as an excuse to get special priveliges.
GC are not going to hurt anyone we dont even care what the TC are doing.

Well Marz , I for one care what the T/C around me are doing. Why not show them that we do care about them , and we do want them to enjoy life in their own country peacefully with justice and fairness , just as we all do.
The special " privileges "are debatable , hatred and wars are a calamity.
We need to interact much more and not just in Casinos and girlie nightclubs , but in Arts , Theatre , Debates , social and cultural events , when not set aside an annual Cypriot cultural event , devoid of all non Cypriot participation , just one day we call Cyprus Day when both communities intermingle , enjoy the food the music and of course not least Garlic along with Kebabs , Houmous , Kleftiko , Souvla and plenty of wine.

The women can come come along too , Kikapu will be in close attendance!!!
We are having a good time aren't we ?

Miltiades i said it wrong, what imeant to say is nobody will stop out of their way to look at them any different to annother stranger in the street people dont care what nationality you are. Its already happening now manyforeigners live in cyprus, like Bulgarians,Russians,English, Egyptians, they all live freely with fairness like all of us.

I see your point - but the thing i love about cyprus is the connection of the people. How everybody knows everybody.Like a big family. Are you saying that cyprus is on route to become soulless?

Im in New Zealand now but I've been living in London fot the past 9 years, and I dont even know my neighbour. Before that I used to live in cyprus. Its sooo different,I would hate for cyprus to become like London
