Turkish Cypriots are no more than a minority

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Exactly the response I would expect from you. Only believe what you can understand Miltiades, that way life won't get too scary for you.
Yes it does !
Well that's great news! I'm glad your standards are not very high, otherwise I would be fearful of you not meeing them!
I do not hate Greece , just would rather be independent from Greece for the sake of my Island's prosperity and stability. I have tremendous respect for all that Greece gave the world , The fundamental principles of Western world democracy are none other than the precious gifts that were handed down from the ancient Greeks.
It is a shame that the modern day Greeks do not retain much from their ancestors , look at the treatment of minorities , look at the contemptious animosity they have for their own misfortunate citizens , look at how many of the rich and powerful care for Cyprus. Greece is a nation of selfish money driven corrupt beaurocrats who do not give a monkeys for Cyprus. They rejected us twice and they have done us a great favour.
I suggest that they , the Greeks , should be out in the streets of Athens , Salonika , demonstrating and shouting union with Cyprus, we will of course reject them , they are just not good enough.
I have no problem with any of this. This is your opinion on Greece and I certainly will not attack you for it; although I am allowed to disagree.
At 60 I , along with the millions of 60 year olds , Mick , Keith(Rolling stones ) McCartney , Tom Jones , Cliff ,
Bill Clinton , Sean Connery and many others would refute your comments "old man " not that it matters to me since at 60 I have matured into a wise individual with no hung ups , just madly in love with my nation and all its people. ""
I couldn't care less whether they refute it or not, a 60 year old man is an old one in my book. Not that it matters too much  I am glad you have such a humble opinion of yourself.

Simon , how old are your parents , do you have grandparents , and why are you so anti 60 year olds or for that matter why is age a problem with you . Are you perhaps a conceited teenager who adores himself and does not cherish the idea of getting older , because let me tell you something that your precious book does not. I said earlier that I saw my mother killed in an earthquake some 53 years ago. She did not go to heavens or hell , she had 4 children and she remained inside all of us , we , the 4 children between us have 11 children and 9 grandchildren , our mother lives in all of them too , When I go I shall also live in my children and grandchildren and life progresses as it always did. Death is not an option , creating a family and see them grow up , and getting to 60 as I did , might in some stages be an option. Living in a fools' paradise is also an option , those who were mentally raped at an early age do not have any option but to follow in the footsteps of their loved ones.

I am not anti any age, you tried to patronize me about being young, and indeed you are still doing so. If you make a big deal about my age, I will make one of yours. I think it is you who is conceited and who loves themselves, not me. You are a small-minded bigot, and I dislike such people.

How do you know where you mother went? I imagine she did stay inside of you, but what has that got to do with anything? You do not believe in after-life, that is fine, but do not try and push your egotistic, closed-minded ways onto me.

Maybe it was you who was mentally raped at a young age, perhaps exacerbated by the death of your mother. Maybe that explains why you are such a bitter, twisted old man. You say that people like me don't have the option: WRONG. I have every option, perhaps it is people like you who are so narrow-minded that don't have the option.

What is your problem with belief of a higher being? I am not trying to force my beliefs onto you, so why are you trying to force yours onto me? You need to start being a little more tolerant of others, after all, you are living in Britain, supposedly one of the most tolerant nations on earth. I am not using my belief to justify or promote anything evil, so just what is your problem? I say to you: GET A LIFE!

You really need to calm down and show some manners to a person who is one the most amicable on the forum. If you do not like what miltiades says then try not responding. You are not trying to understand what he is saying to you, didnt your family teach you about how to respond to your elders, he is of course much older but much wiser.

Simon,
I must say you are going way over the top with one of the most reasonable people on the forum whose sincerity is in no doubt. You may not agree with some or all of his views but there is no need for rudeness. You do your cause no good at all in this manner.

If either of you have even bothered checking the debates in this forum, and the one headed 'Jesus and Muhammad' you would see that Miltiades was rude and personally attacked me first.

I have no respect for people who are intolerable of others' beliefs, no matter how old or young they are.

Issy, he is one of the most reasonable men? Have you read some of his comments to others who simply disagree with him?

VP, yeah, much wiser! Yes, because he gives partitionists like you the time of day! As if he would ever change your mind about partition. Kifeas is right about you!

Simon,
I didnt read all the comments you mention but if he has been rude to you or others I condemn this unreservedly. People on all sides of the argument must accept that they have no right to be rude to anyone esle just because they disagree. We need a more tolerant approach from everybody.

This is how Simon sees miltiades :
"""Maybe it was you who was mentally raped at a young age, perhaps exacerbated by the death of your mother. Maybe that explains why you are such a bitter, twisted old man. You say that people like me don't have the option: WRONG. I have every option, perhaps it is people like you who are so narrow-minded that don't have the option. """

A twisted old man , HE CALLS ME , to which I will quote from an ancient Greek : Strike me if you must but listen to me:
Our island consists , if we put aside the newcomers , of two communities , both of which consider Cyprus to be their beloved country , on one hand the vast majority , of which both of us belong , are split into those who recognise that our island belongs equally to all Cypriots and that the unification of our island is the ultimate goal , and those who are content for the division to become a legality and a permanent solution. Those of us who"" iper panton olon , "" above all consider the unification of our island as the only solution are prepared to abandon some menial superficial nationalistic aspirations ingrained unwarrantably , uninvitedly in our brains and focus on the future of our island
for the sake of future generations to come. At my age I can visualize perhaps more clearly than a younger person since I see in children the innocence and sweetness that all children have irrespective of religion or ethnicity, the Greeks of Cyprus are Cypriots first and the Turks of Cyprus are Cypriots first. If any G/c or T/C feels that I'm wrong please do tell me , but I bet you that 99.9% are Cypriots first , and so is Miltiades , are you Simon ?
Then fly the flag. !!
