Turkish Cypriots are no more than a minority

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Following a reshuffle , Kikapu has been appointed the new President of Cyprus ,a post he will now share , simultaneously , with Bananiot , Kifeas and VP have been demoted to caretaker roles.
Kifeas and VP were demoted following the most atrocious jokes ever made by any President of any nation in the world , with the exception of Idi Amin who of course was a fng idiot.

Long live our two Presidents , and no more bloody jokes. !!

Rubbish. How can I be a minority in my own country. I have as much right in Cyprus as you do. If you do not pull your socks up and see the realities of the situation you will leave me no choice but to forget a settlement or reunification and leave thing just as they are. I'm an equal individual in the TRNC, why should I give that up knowing full well I will be a second class citizen in the company of the likes of you. Thank you but no thanks.

if you want to identify your self as a Turkish Cypriot, then you belong to the turkish minority of Cyprus Republic.
(Dont worry, we respect all minorities and we accept their rights)!

Thanks for that manoWAR. I have the luxury of choice. Minority status doesn't appeal much to me or my fellow TC's so we'll pass on that.

Not trying to be rude but how about you stick your minority status, respect and rights up where the sun don't shine!!

Let me ask you a simple question. If you had 5 children, which 4 happens to be boys, and the other is a girls (80%-20%). Would you consider the girl as a minority within your family, or is she just as important as the rest of your children. Sure, you will feed her and cloth her as you would do with the boys, as being treated equal, but when it comes to deciding what games the children want to play, only the desires of the boys count, because they are the majority and she is the minority, therefore must always do what the brothers want. After a while, your daughter is going to hate her brothers, and you for this to continue. If you allowed this to happen, then you're a bad father.!!!!

What I dont understand is why there has to be use of the terms majority and minority. We are all Cypriots. We are equal.

Exactly Andry_cy, referring to me as a minority is no different to being referred to as a "second class citizen". That is not acceptable.

There's really no need for it. It only serves a purpose for those who would like to feel superior to others, because of their numbers, and not because of substance. The only problem is, the longer this issue gets kicked around, then the ones who wanted to feel superior, will end up being just an average Joe. Lets all become "average Joe" now, and stop killing time.

If we are all Cypriots, all equal etc, then why do you insist on having a veto? Why do you demand a certain amount of seats in Parliament for TCs etc, if you are not a separate community?

If you are not a separate community then fine, we won't treat you like one if you don't act like one; but if you are, then you are a minority community in Cyprus. Simple as that. This does not mean that you have any less rights as individuals, but it is a simple fact that your community is smaller than ours. This in turn gives you more protective rights so that you cannot be dominated and ignored; but you have to make a choice. You either are a distinct community within Cyprus or not? If you are not, then we can just have a normal running parliament filled with representatives voted for, with no ethnic divisions like those in the AP, can't we?
