The Big Sell Out

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby stuballstu » Wed Aug 09, 2006 2:35 pm

Pyrpolizer

It would be interesting to see how many GC refugees would want to return to their former properties?

From what i understand they now have the ability to get restitution from the property commission in the north. At least a GC doesnt have to move to the opposite side of the Green Line for a min of 6 months before their applications can be processed and that is only if they still stayed in Cyprus prior to 1974. If they did not stay in Cyprus when Turkey came over they have no claim, did you know that?

Is that ok from a human rights point of view Piratis? do you agree with that?

IS THIS TRUE????

UN -(F)- BELIEVABLE?

then again this consistant with gc democratic human rights policies over tcs since 1960. And they wonder why tcs want a seperate state.

come on piratis explain through your normal chanels (4500 years, the invasion and 350 000 refugees and 10, 000 gc dead), (who am i to stop inflationary figure evolution?) and of cource brutal ottoman savagery etc etc etc why the tcs are going to accept your form of heartfelt democracy. Tcs cant even claim the land which your govt says is tc.

so now (if the above post is true) gc owns all the ex- tc land in the south as well as all the ex- gc land n the north (nice work).

if stuballstu's previous post is true (and i hope it is not), is there any point in looking for any sollution?

Our country is not for sale, as it was said very well already.

If some people do not want to return now to their own properties this is because our land is under occupation. Who the hell want to live under occupation or under other undemocratic regimes?

Gite to Cypriots a solution that will respect all their human and democratic right, without racist discriminations and then you will see that most of them will return.

However as I said already how many they return is irrelevant. Citizens of RoC are free to move anywhere they want. If some want to move from lets say Kerinia to Limassol, this doesn't mean Kerinia should stop being part of RoC!

So stuballstu, stop supporting the illegal occupation and the crimes of Turkey. Thats the ONLY way that human rights violations will end.

???

Do I really have to bother with such lies?

No GC owns TC land. Some of the GC refugees who were kicked out from their own homes by the illegal Turkish occupation, are housed temporarily in TC properties.

When Turkey and TCs stop insisting on the illegal Turkish occupation then GC refugees will go to their homes and TC refugees can return to their own. Turkey and TCs are those that insist on the illegal occupation, not us.
Of course TCs don't care much, since they are 18% and they took by force the 37%. They took twice as much as they left behind!

come on piratis explain through your normal chanels (4500 years, the invasion and 350 000 refugees and 10, 000 gc dead), (who am i to stop inflationary figure evolution?)

Figure evolution?
You have to options:
1) Tell me were I wrote about 350000 refugees (instead of 200000)
2) Admit that you are a liar.

As far as the 10,000s of GCs dead thats a fact. During the invasion of 1974 6000 GCs were killed. And during our history many more 1000s were butchered during the 300 years that Turks oppressed Greeks on this island.

Sorry, rolo, but you can not pass your propaganda and lies with me.

http://rs6.loc.gov/frd/cs/cytoc.html
In the summer of 1570, the Turks struck again, but this time with a full-scale invasion rather than a raid. About 60,000 troops, including cavalry and artillery, under the command of Lala Mustafa Pasha landed unopposed near Limassol on July 2, 1570, and laid siege to Nicosia. In an orgy of victory on the day that the city fell--September 9, 1570--20,000 Nicosians were put to death, and every church, public building, and palace was looted.

Those barbarians have butchered 20,000 people in one day (September 9, 1570)!!! And then you doubt that Turks have killed 10s of thousands of GCs?? You can't deny the truth rolo. What I say are facts.

That's assuming they are allowed to do that. I see no provisions in the TRNC's constitution for Greek Cypriots. Their existence is hardly acknowledged. It pains me when the RoC does not give TCs their due rights but please don't even try comparing the RoC with the TRNC in this regard, the TRNC does not even acknowledge that GCs have rights in northern Cyprus, it would rather GCs did not exist.

Answer the question Piratis

You thought I could not answer to your lies? Next time you think of such thing just make a quick search, you will get your answer.

http://www.cyprus-forum.com/viewtopic.php?p=92084
Refugees are given some land to house themselves temporarily. No title deeds are given to them if the property belongs to TCs.

http://www.cyprus-forum.com/viewtopic.php?p=92046
Land is given to temporarily house refugees until the Turkish army allows them to return to their own homes. The refugees are not even given titles to any TC property. What exactly you wanted? To let the 200.000 refugees living in tents for 32 years while the 18% of TCs illegally occupied the 36% of land????

When they return to us our land, our refugees would be more than glad to leave from the temporary refugee housing and take back their own properties in the occupied areas which are WAY more than what they are temporarily housed now.

http://www.cyprus-forum.com/viewtopic.php?p=80937
Greek Cypriot refugees are temporarily housed in TC properties. They were forced to live in these properties since Turkey forced them out from their own. They were not given titles to those properties and our side has clearly said that the illegal occupation of Cyprus should end and everybody should be allowed to return to their own properties.

http://www.cyprus-forum.com/viewtopic.php?p=79229
1) Our refugees temporarily live in TC property until you accept legality and they are allowed to return to their own homes.
2) Our refugees were not given titles to the TC properties, however TCs were given "titles" to the GC properties.
3) Those TC properties are not sold to foreigners for profit, unfortunately you do this for GC properties.
4) Our refugees pray that they will return to their own homes in the now occupied Cyprus. Most TCs are more that satisfied with the much more land they received in the occupied areas and they prefer to keep that land instead of getting back their own.

I have not seen an answer for the above. You are playing your typical dirty politics again.
