A friend of mine is looking at property in the Ergates region of Nicosia.
Compared to properties in the capital, Properties in this area are relatively cheap.
I remember a few years ago there was some disscussion in local press about high emissions from a local foundary causing high lead and cadmium levels in local residents blood.
Does anyone know anything about this? Has the problem been addressed?

I just purchased a house in Ergates. The prices are extremely lower than the Nicosia surrounding area. I know of no faundry nor medical conditions related to it's operation. If you truly want value for money, Ergates or Deftera is the place to buy in the Nicosia area.
