What are Cypriot men like?

Postby sal » Thu Aug 03, 2006 3:51 pm

I've read so many posts (been lurking for a while before registering!) about opinions on women - who are the hottest, the Russians etc. It's so interesting to see people's viewpoints and observations.

So, my question is what are Cypriot MEN like?

Ladies spill the beans and Men you can tell us what you think too!
Are they trustworthy? Romantic? Good looking? Thoughtful lovers? Hard working? Anything!

(And can I say that this kind of forum where you can ask such questions as these without being branded un-PC are really interesting and refreshing change from UK where you'd probably be branded racist, feminist, sexist, anything-ist! etc. I know opinions relate only to that persons experience and some are generalisations but still very interesting you should be proud of your forum!)

Cypriot men?

Still searching for one. Met lots of overgrown schoolboys hanging onto their mother's apron strings :)

Just kidding, they're ok really, maybe a bit egotistical. Make that very egotistical. And sexist quite a lot of the time. Very sexist and materialistic and spoiled to death :)

Other than that, they're lovely. I should probably get out more - LOL

:D

I have to say I am guilty of all the above!!!!

But women love it. Women get bored of men that tick all the boxes.

All the nice guys that I know get treated like sh*t by women and all the sexist, racist, unemployed smelly pigs seem to get all the women. In all honesty I am probably somewhere in the middle.

Women don't get bored by mature, intelligent, sexy men who treat them well.

Women get bored by boring men.

I'm all for a man being himself, even if that means being a boor or a bore, but I wouldn't mistake bad behaviour for an intriguing personality :)

I must tell you a story, my friend Theo brought up in a Cypriot environment in London with a typical Cypriot mum, got married to an English woman. Settling into his new life, he relaxed waiting for his wife to grant him his every whim as his mother had done... 'give me an orange' he said to his wife, she replied loving, 'get it your bloody self' shocked he asked her why she was angry, she said that if he thought she was going to wait on him hand and foot and run the home, work and have kids then he had better start finding his arms and legs.......... Now he reflected on this and decided she was right, and he is now the sweetest kindest man, and a good husband. If women put up with it, then we cannot blame them for being like it.. My sons ironed their own clothes as soon as they could control an iron, and did the dishes and cleaned their rooms.. They can both cook and look after themselves well... Mothers should not make their children dependant as they will grow up selfish andinconsiderate.. so i blame the mothers and not the children...

So do you think Cypriot mothers dote on their sons more than their daughters? Are they brought up to be so egotistical as their mothers gave them high superiority and spoilt them - whereas the daughters are in the kitchen helping out?
