G&V Hadjidemosthenous and/or Olive Properties

Postby dizey » Mon Jul 31, 2006 11:20 pm

Hi, newish to the forum and already finding lots of useful info.

We were over in July having our first serious look for property. We came over thinking Larnaca/Oroklini would be the place for us, but having had a good scout around have decided to have another look in the East. We didn't much time left for the East coast search and only really got to Coral Bay/Peyia so will need to come back for a proper look (hopefully in October).

Meantime, I wondered if anybody had any experience (good or bad) of these 2 developers. Hadjidemosthenous and Olive. They look quite good on the internet, but it's always good to hear first hand stories.

Thanks a lot.

Any other recommendations for trusthworthy developers also appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello Dizey

I have never come across these guys befor. Not saying they aren't reputable but goto www.fopdac.com (Federation of Overseas Property Developers, Agents and Consultants) and choose someone from this list. Never go by websites either.

We have bought from www.interlinkproperties.com - they have been very patient and helpful.

Good luck!

Hi Dizey

As property investment is part of what I do, I know most developers in the Paphos location.

I have just bought a resale apartment from GVH; as a company they are OK but not outstanding - either for design or Value for Money. You will not go wrong buying from them - but it may not be a dream home either.

While Olive are trying to be innovative, I do know that British developers have a very hard time trying to survive here, so they are more of a wld card.

There is nothing like being here, having first done your research on the web. You might consider contacting an Estate Agent, who will representa number of developers as well as offering resale proeprties.

Hi Dizey

This evening I had confirmation of one of the concerns I expressed to you.
