Why?

Cyprus is much more stable.

There are many pitfalls about buying in 'land of the unknown'. I have spent a couple of years looking around Europe (including Bulgaria) at buying property and there are dangers about buying in places like Croatia/Bulgaria etc.

Too many pitfalls to mention.

Such as? So to buy a piece of land on an island smaller than Cyprus that is rapidly becoming a EU tourist destination around the world for a 10th of what i could buy here isnt a good idea? Give me valid reasons?

When investing in property/land. Question ONE is: WHO will want to buy it from me and how much will they pay for it? (Sorry, that is Question two, as well!). Investments in these areas require a great deal of research and homework.

Exactly!

Some more questions to ask yourself....

1 Why is the land so cheap?
2 What in years to come no industry/tourism takes off, what would you do then?
3 How accessible is this land to reach? (i.e roads/motorways etc)

Just be careful

but also remember that the prices of lands are always increasing cause of the increasing of population so most probably lands bring pretty good money but on the long run

Bulgaria is corrupt and is run by the mafia. This is the one major stumbling point holding up the countries entry into the EU.
