Illegal occupation -> Anger -> Hate. Who is to blame?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

And the military is run by politicians...

Not in Turkey.

All land should be restored to its rightful owners, or they should be compensated to an agreeable amount at todays values...

Elections should be held with proportional representation in the govt with policies that affect either genus, tc or gc, requiring a large if not 100% agreement from all govt representatives to pass..

As for the native turkish settlers, that is a difficult one, as if turkey enters the EU they will have a right to stay!

Turkey should make a formal apology for the invasion and deaths, like germany did for the holocaust (unlikely, but would go someway to burying the hatchet).

I cant come up with a complete solution, but I will air my thoughts rather than apportion blame..

Those thoughts are good. We all have them. But when rational thoughts are shot down by some because they would accept nothing less than partition (and no solution = partition again, so they don't mind that either) and they refuse to change their altitude for 32 years then what you do?

Well at least we agree on something...

I think it will be resolved if Turkey want into the EU, as it is probably their biggest stumbling block..

Time will tell

Which city are you talking about? ? ? ? Melbourne? So in your opinion the Greek minority there and the GC minority there flying Greek flags after a GC won the tennis match turned Melbourne into Greek ? I’d say you dont know what the hell you are talking about. I already told you why people wave flags and I am not going to repeat myself. Read my previous post.
BTW do you know that at the recent football match at Trapezounta between Trapzospor and APOEL there were 20, 000 funs waving 13, 000 flags of the pseudo? According to your logic Trapezounta city was turned into a "trnc".

Anyway enough said from me about this stupid flags thing. I am not going to reply ny further.

[PRYPOLIZER,,
stop acting stupid, you know true well what city i was talking about!
or you would have if you read my full post.

Iwas talking about the flag that said Constantinople is greek,Macedonia is greek
you only show your own ignorance. you are deeply offended by the sight of a turkish flag painted on a mountain and i admit you do have a point, it is there to be provocative, if you bothered to read the whole passage you wouldn't have jumped to the wrong conclusions.
then again it must be hard to change a habit of a life time!!
