How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Can you give me a single historical example of a empire that fell, only to later regain it's past glories. Over any time span? I certainly can not think of one. So where is this 'proof' about your 'philosphy'?

If anything it seems to me that history shows clearly that once and empire has fallen, it never regains it's former glory but instead is replaced by a new empire. So a philosphy that is based on the idea that former empires can be regain seems to be based in the most unrealistic of form of wishful thinking. If you yearn for the impossible you will live in disapointement.

hmm... well what goes around does come around, but i don't see how neither Turkey nor the TCs can benefit from such a thing? for one thing there would need to be a turkish genocide to compensate for the armenians, greeks, kurds etc and a massive raping spree of TCs. i know GC nationalists have burned down TC villages and what not, but I don't what their stance was on raping. One thing I know is that more GCs look like Turks then Greeks do. I wonder what that could possible mean?

What are you talking about? Come on, people. Let's not litter the forum with nonsense. We should be talking about the future of Cyprus, how the Cyprus problem can be solved, how we can create a common Cypriot identity, and things like that...

The eastern Mediterranean erea is a melting pot of people of different races. Insinuations of the kind used by Magikthrill lower the level of conversation to a degree where it is a waste of time to read the posts. I agree with metecyp's cry. I also agree on the need to create a cypriot identity. This call will find many enemies across both sides of the dividing line.

Who told you that I think that way? I'm here to learn from others and I don't give a damn if politicians will hear what we talk here or not.

i ask my greek cypriot friends to see a reasoning behind the existance of turkish army in cyprus today. it is not because of the greek cypriots really, it is because of the idiots like these that bother us and we feel like protecting our community in cyprus since we feel responsible for them.

dont get me wrong, i totally agree on reunification. i think though, both communities need to be more educated.

in my belief, the time is getting close though. i believe few idiots like these exists in every community. so cypriots unite! :D
