WHY HAS THE GC NOT ARRESTED EOKA MURDERERS

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

You are a ridiculous, petty and nasty man to make me recount and re-live this.

It happened on the14th August 1974 in the afternoon, we watched as the GC national guard rounded up 92 of our men/olderboys and then marched them to a big hole and stood them in front of it, they gave them all a cigarette each and while they smoked shot them and they fell in the hole dead.
`The mass grave where your glorious GC national gurad ethnically cleansed us was in Yerremasaya but one TC man badly injured managed to escape and when we the TC reported it to the UN the bodies where dug up and moved by the GC national guard and we still do not know where you murderers put our murdered loved ones.

I saw this atrocitie with my own eyes as you sick murdering GC national guards made me watch it from a distance just after they had beaten and stabbed my mother for not being able to walk fast enough because she was carrying my baby brother and pulling me along by my hand, she has the scars on her back and bum, would you like some pictures of them too kifeas???

Has this made your sickened soul happier now kifeas???

Listen Kerez, if you think you are the only one that knows how to curse and insult, I can assure you I can do as fine as you do. I did not insult you, nor I said anything to you that could have been taken as a provocation, and therefore you have no excuse to call me in the above ways.

The reason I asked you the above details is very simple. If you indeed originate from Tochni and if you indeed saw what you claim above, and if you indeed are able to give evidence and possibly names, then I am willing to help you open a case by the public attorney, simply because I also want as much as you do to find these people and have them punished. I happen to have also lost 5 close relatives in 1974 in Kyrenia area during the Turkish invasion, 2 in battles, 1 still missing and 2 cold blood murdered after been taken hostages -2 uncles, 1 first cousin and 2 second cousins.

I ask you again, do you know any names. My information and understanding so far is that those people in Tochni were not taken by the national guard from the village, but from irregulars from the same and the nearby to Tochni villages. Were do the surviving TCs from Tochni live now in the north?

Do you know?

If you know, then who are they? Can you post their names here?

If you know, why don't you go to the police and ask them (demand) to open a case and prosecute them?

If they are known, why didn't the previous government of Klerides in which your party was a member of it, did not bring them to justice?

Why didn't Vasiliou, your party leader that was the president for 5 years did not do anything?

Hey Bananiot, one thing is for sure, the people that committed those crimes were GC Irregulars, whether they were EOKA B members or not, and they deff did not represent the GC community!

Peace! :)

Natty, the fact that they do not represent the GC community is a fact but it is also irrelevant. They are criminals and they should be put on trial and punishment.

I completely agree Kifeas!! They should be punished!! It's just that it some people seem to think that what those few GC's did, represent how the GC community felt towards the TC community, and this is simply untrue!!

Peace! :)

Kifeas,

First, sorry to hear of your family's lost. If they were lost in the hands of the Turkish army, then I'm afraid we will never know under what circumstances they were killed, and to try get justice for them at this stage from individual soldiers will not be possible. They will just have to live with their crimes everyday. Now, as far as the claim Kerez is making of 92 being murdered, and asking him to provide evidence and names of those that committed these crimes is unrealistic, when he was only a child. It would be like me, when we were captured by the Greek soilders in Kücük Kaymakli. Had they shot all of us and I were to have survived, what discription or names would I have. Fortunately for us, we were treated only as "prisoners of war", and for that I'm very thankful to those soldiers. The facts of the murderes in Kerez's village can only be discovered if the GC's who knew those that took part back then, that they know some information on them today. These killers cannot be more than 55-60 years old today, so there must be a lot of information that is known but not talked about in your community. So, that's where you (ROC) should start to get to the bottom of this, and not ask a child form 1974 to provide with such information. I think this would go a long way by the ROC, to show the TC's that they are willing to bring those committing crimes against Cypriots, if not on TC's, which no one should protect such people from prosecution.

Another Greek who assumes his moral superiority. Now let us put some concrete images of Greek barbarism and focus on the "humanism, democracy and moral superiority of hellenism"

All Chams have been uprooted from their homeland, and despite their continuing campaign to return to their ancestral land stolen by the Hellenic state, their legitimate demands fall on deaf ears. Where are the Hellenic idealists to restore Justice and Democracy for those oppressed people? Will you dare ask the Chams what Hellenism meant for them?

A Hellenic poster aimed to incite patriotism and hatred against the Bulgarians in the hearts of the Hellenic soldiers. The poster depicts a Hellenic soldier eating a Bulgarian soldier. A photograph taken by award-winning British photo-journalist Robert Egby. The photograph shows Drosoulla Demetriadou sitting beside the body of her fiancé, Bonici Mompalda. He had been gunned down by an EOKA gunman. Nicos Sampson, aged 28 at the time, was found guilty of the murder. After the independence of Cyprus, he confessed to the execution in his own newspaper. Will you ask her what Hellenism meant for her?

These issues have been discussed on a official level.I think they agreed to follow South Africa's example of creating a Truth and Reconcilliation commission.
But its sad that certain Turkish people scream for justice when its a known fact that they have commited many more crimes against humanity in Cyprus. And thats the only reason why Turkish leaders have not demanded punishment for individuals or groups that are responsible for any wrong doings.
If the Greek-Cypriots were to punish people for crimes the only respond they will get from Turkey is.."See how blood thirsty the Greeks are thats why we invaded in the first place"..

So, what does it prove, the fact that successive RoC governments failed to bring to justice those criminals? It means quite clearly that they have deep roots in our society and some of them are probably very important people. In fact, the President himself boasted to unnhilate all Turkish Cypriots in 75 minutes! Killing Turkish Cypriots in those times was a holy cause and it is no good trying to deny it. In fact, the more "dogs" you killed, the bigger your standing in the society. This was the same in all Greek villages and Turk slayers were held to high esteem. Sure, it probably worked the other way round too, I cannot know for sure, let the Turkish Cypriot progressives talk about their community. The blame is collective and hiding behind EOKA B has not helped us in the past nor will it help us in the future. We bear the biggest portion of the responsibility for our predicament. Had we embraced the Turkish Cypriots with passion and supportive understanting, Kifeas would still be in his beloved Lapithos now rather than roaming the forums and cursing people.

bg_turk , while we are asking the Bulgarians of their views on the Hellenes , may we also ask the 1.5 million Armenians for their views on Turkey , then we see how rotten our perceived "motherlands" are tell them to piss off and leave us Cypriots alone. But of course the Armenian genocide never happened , just as the RoC doesn't exist as far as Turkey is concerned. And through out History the Greeks were referred to as Barbarians , were they ? Plato Socrates Thucydides Hippocrates to name but a few are all of course in the house of horrors are they ?

Had lunch today with a couple of mainland Turks business people and hand on my heart I can say they were first class gentlemen , civilised , polite and consistent with their views on the political scene surrounding Cyprus.
Some two years back I had the misfortune of being conned by a Greek main lander on a business deal .He was , like a lot of the rich Greeks an absolute bastard , both of these experiences re enforce my belief that there are good and bad in both races , apart from our Cypriot race that is where almost all are good !! including Kifeas , Zypezokyli, mrfrong , Bananiot , Piratis , Kikapu , viewpoint and of course my own godson Socrates !!
Long live Cyprus.
