It happened on the14th August 1974 in the afternoon, we watched as the GC national guard rounded up 92 of our men/olderboys and then marched them to a big hole and stood them in front of it, they gave them all a cigarette each and while they smoked shot them and they fell in the hole dead.
`The mass grave where your glorious GC national gurad ethnically cleansed us was in Yerremasaya but one TC man badly injured managed to escape and when we the TC reported it to the UN the bodies where dug up and moved by the GC national guard and we still do not know where you murderers put our murdered loved ones.

I saw this atrocitie with my own eyes as you sick murdering GC national guards made me watch it from a distance just after they had beaten and stabbed my mother for not being able to walk fast enough because she was carrying my baby brother and pulling me along by my hand, she has the scars on her back and bum, would you like some pictures of them too kifeas???

How can you complain about us when your crimes against us from you were 100 times more?? I ask you again: Is killing the privilege of Turks? When Turks kill others by the 10s of thousands everything is OK, but when some Turks die it is not?

If we also had your hostile aggressive attitude then we would say that 10s of thousands of Turks should die just to get even. Yes, when the Turkish army had made such crimes some GCs could not stand it and they wrongly committed some crimes as well. Those actions are condemned!

If this was just in 1974 it would not be THAT much though. The crimes of Turks against Greek Cypriots had started since the 15 century and they continue almost uninterrupted until today! Thats 5 centuries of oppression against us!

Throughout the period of Venetian rule, Ottoman Turks raided and attacked at will. In 1489, the first year of Venetian control, Turks attacked the Karpas Peninsula, pillaging and taking captives to be sold into slavery. In 1539 the Turkish fleet attacked and destroyed Limassol. Fearing the ever-expanding Ottoman Empire, the Venetians had fortified Famagusta, Nicosia, and Kyrenia, but most other cities were easy prey.

In the summer of 1570, the Turks struck again, but this time with a full-scale invasion rather than a raid. About 60,000 troops, including cavalry and artillery, under the command of Lala Mustafa Pasha landed unopposed near Limassol on July 2, 1570, and laid siege to Nicosia. In an orgy of victory on the day that the city fell--September 9, 1570--20,000 Nicosians were put to death, and every church, public building, and palace was looted.

Forward 500 years later and Turkey still continues with practices of land grab and ethnic cleansing!!
And after all these, you find some tiny part of history were a tiny (compared to the GC losses) number of TCs had died, to excuse even more barbaric acts against Greek Cypriots?
