What if the Cyprus is not solved?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

What if the Cyprus is not solved?

Could there be a war in the future? Who will gain and will lose more if a solution never comes? :?

Hi Sotos

I can not see it, who would fight who?

No on will invade us, we have no assets, no oil (apart from olive oil and loads of concrete!).

Turkey will not invade, Greece will not invade, we only have British holiday makers invading!

The war that started with the Turkish invasion in 1974 is not over yet. This is why we have a cease fire line between us.

Cyprus reserves every right to reclaim its own land and the only reason that the battles did not restart and will not restart for the foreseeable future is that Cyprus does not have the military power to liberate its own land. However we can never know how the balance of power will develop in the future and it should be considered certain the Republic of Cyprus will liberate the northern part from the occupation when this will become possible.

Those that judge the future based on facts from today are short-sighted. The balance of power changes in ways that a small Greece could be liberated from the huge Ottoman empire, or that a small Latvia could gain independence from the huge and mighty USSR.

Never judge the future based on the balance of power of today. If a fair solution is not found with peaceful means it is certain that we will have more bloody conflicts in the future.

The junta made a coup, not war. Coups like the several ones that happened in Turkey itself. Should another country have invaded Turkey every time a coup had happened?

Look who is talking!! The one who sits behind the Turkish soldiers who are ready to shoot and kill any refugee that wants to return to his own home and who sells and exploits the land he stole from us with war. This person who is now ripping the benefits of his nasty war on the loss of 200.000 Innocent refugees is now coming to accuse me of being a "war monger" because I want the liberation of my country!!

Were the nations that fought back to liberate their countries from the Nazi occupation also "nasty war mongers" according to you Karez?

Who are nasty war mongers are those that illegally invade and occupy sovereign foreign countries. These in our case are the Turks and nobody else.

The north part of our country belongs to RoC and to its legal population. The criminal barbaric armies that invaded us will sooner or later pay for this injustice.

ANOTHER COUNTRY DID DO A COUP ON CYPRUS CALLED GREECE AND THAT WAS ILLEGAL, YOU SEEM TO FORGET THAT CYPRUS IS MEANT TO BE INDEPENDENT NOT A PART OF GREECE LIKE YOU WANTED WITH ENOSIS.

YOU CAN LABEL AS MUCH AS YOU WANT BUT WE WILL NEVER UNITE WITH YOU UNTIL YOU TRUELY PRACTICE THE RULE OF LAW AND HUMAN RIGHTS AND IF YOU ATTACK US AND START ANOTHER WAR YOU WILL GET YOUR ARSE KICKED ONCE AGAIN, THATS A PROMISE.
