I cant help it but it makes me giggle to imagine him doing the army! ah bless him he really doesnt want to cant say i blame him it just seems such a waste of time here doing the army. From what I can tell they eat alot of bbq food and drink alot of zivanire ( spelling? ) lol

Tell him not to do the army, they are so slack by the time they find him, he'll be passed the age for compulsory army.
A friend of mine went in 2 months ago (he has a month left) and the seargent laughed at him for going in, saying " Are you mad, we only botherr looking for 18 year-olds, it's too much hassle"

I know many BBC's who have been living here for 10+ years without doing the bullsh*t army.

I'm a bbc. Moved here 6 years ago and wouldn't go back. Don't think you can change the way things are here. Intergrate and accept. Life is slower the people are nosey but genuinely care, the wages are cr@p but I wouldn't go back to London life. This is home!

a great attitude Twinkle....just be who u are but stop trying to change the people - never ending battle!!

id love to move there, i speak fluent greek and got an A* in my GCSE's. BUT i dont fit in that well when i go out with my cousins. i know it sounds irrelevant but the dress sense is sooo different over there. the men dress like gays with tiiiigggghhttt jeans and tighhht tops. When my cousins came over here i gave them my clothes to save them from looking gay.

But anyway work is shit over there even though the life is better so both countries have their advantages, You get used to it after a while. I know so many people that went over there. But its best to retire over there...

where are you from? australia? haha
my hubby and our friends/cousins say the same thing - they think the guys dress very feminine!! I have to force my husband to take some stylish clothing for our upcoming trip otherwise he'd be in daggy t-shirts and shorts everyday!
