Dont want to sound pessamistic lee lee. I'm happy in my work and life in Cyprus and Uk. Its just that I have seen many people jump in feet first without looking where they're going to land . Its a great life in Cyprus but please make sure you know what you're doing first then you'll be Ok.
There are quiet a few threads on the forum regarding working and living in Cyprus. Have a root through them they do offer a lot of sound advice

Hi All

Its taken us 5 years to move to Cyprus!

If you think its hard living, working and learing the lingo - try living in France....

That was the worst mistake we ever made!

Not long to go now - we sold our property at long last!!!

Lee - Its great up in Peyia - we love living there...

Hia yea was a bit dissolutioned a little while ago things not that much better ive been here 3 months now and have actually worked 2 weeks in all, im going to put it down to the time of year ive put my name arround and ringing and texting people in the Cyprus Mail and Grapevine, no body bothers to get in touch, it seems in Cyprus no tradesman knows what work he has from one week to the next well in plumbing that is, I have two contacts now in the Paphos area who tell me work will pick up in September, well we will see till then we will have to keep dipping into our saveings. The other thing is living in Cyprus is not as cheap as you think, ok some food is cheap, petrols faily cheap so far but thats starting to creap up some things are bloody dear and the wages are absolutely SHIT big shock when and if you get a job ive come down from £150 a day to £35 a day there is no way this drop can be justified, TOO MANY TRADESMEN UNDERCUTTING EACH OTHER FOR WORK , the customer is the winner here. THE WEATHERS NICE MIND YOU. Well lets see what happens in September il keep you informed.

Cheers
