This is sad

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Of course, that goes without saying. However, not meaning to offend but under the circumstances you more than the TC's.

Viewpoint , again I will ask you the same question .HOW MANY TURKISH CYPRIOTS WERE KILLED BY THE G/C , AND THIS TIME LETS MAKE A REAL SHORT PERIOD -6 MONTHS BEFORE THE INVASION. Your answer would help all those of us who beleive the true figure to be a big ZERO.
I'm helping you by saying that no records exist by any authority to justify your claims the Turkey invaded in view of the continuing killing of T/Cs by the G/Cs. I'm not referring to events during the invasion. Come on then 6 MONTHS BEFORE PLEASE.

I already answered this question 100 times. No, I wouldn’t sell.

You is the one who avoids answering my question:
Would you sell me all your properties for double the price?

Under the circumstances GCs already do a lot more. For starters RoC does not insist on any illegalities. This is a case where doing less (illegalities) is more, and we would expect that the TCs would do "less" in this respect. (e.g. the end of the illegal sales of GC properties). Also RoC offers free health care and other benefits to TCs even thought TCs do not pay any taxes to RoC.

This is a case were actions of goodwill should come from both sides. When it is always one way, then one side would feel used and then all actions of goodwill will stop.

YES, I would sell. I have answered before but you obviously do not take in what you read. I would use the money to buy property elsewhere and thus support a solution but you obviously have other plans.

miltiades, TCs and about an equal number of GCs had been killed during the intercommunal conflict, which was mostly from 1963 until 1968. Only few incidents happened after 1968.

In 1974 no TC had been killed until the invasion had started. AFTER the invasion had started and several 1000s of Greek Cypriots were butchered, while the news about the rapes and the other atrocities by the Turkish army were coming in all the time, then a few extremist GCs (and not the Cypriot Army) had retaliated by killing some 100s of TCs in a few villages.

Those actions are condemned, and it should be made clear AGAIN that:
1) They were acts of retaliation to the barbaric Turkish invasion
2) They were performed by some extremists and not the official army or government of Cyprus
3) Those killings are given no excuse and they are condemned (unlike the Turks who not only they do not condemn their 100 times more crimes against us, done by the official government and army of Turkey, but they even celebrate those crimes!)

Viewpoint and his kind should stop the lame excuses and stop trying to very selectively use the past as a way to excuse even more crimes against GCs. Cut the excuses and stop the illegalties and the crimes!

Piratis
I don't get it. In 1974 no TC had died until the invasion of Turkey had started,

That supposedly Turkey invaded Cyprus to save the TCs, while in fact no TC was killed until the invasion had started,

The above comments speak for themselves according to Piratis, (and his Turk hating leader) everything in Cyprus was a bed of roses before 1974 when Turkey intervened and no TCs vanished and were found buried 6ft under the ground with only their skulls left. My avatar is to remind you of all the deaths that GC caused over our dark history and why TCs will always find it very difficult to forget and forgive or trust a GC ever again.

What is worst you are still using the same lame excuses 32 years later

Lame excuses as thats how you want to label them so as not have to deal with our concerns and fears. If you cant solve them ridicule and belittle our concerns and they will go away great logic only to be expected from an individual such as yourself, who continues to chant GC administer human rights and democracy for all. No one is buying it Piratis, you need to provide a lot more stafey valves and guarantees to sell your type of rights as no one trusts that you will act in accordence with international norms and share a united Cyprus with TCs.

I have tried to answer your question in the past which is very misleading as you are trying to get me to agree that no TCs were killed during that specific period forzen in time without taking into account the period that led upto 1974 from the moment we had the opportunity to be Cypriots which was 1960.

Turkey intervened to bring order and provide the safety of TCs until a time when both sides could agree a solution which to date we have been unable to do. The isolation and Enosis elements were always a threat to the TC community the coup was just the last drop which caused Turkey to finally take action, the situation for TCs from 1963 onwards was not a desirable one and threatened our safety by continuing to be very explosive. The numerically larger GCs had taken control of the whole island and were reaping the rewards, do your think it was in their best interest to share with TCs, they had a situation which they wanted to prolong as long as possible and isolation and discrimination of TCs was to their benefit and the 11 years of suffering was going to come to head one day as TCs continues to live in squaller and very dire circumstances, 1974 was that explosion and the rest is history.

miltiades let me ask you a question what did 1974 bring to this island and what have we had for 32 years?

So according to Piratis logic that makes every ok. Man you have a long way to go.

So the deaths of thousands of Turkish soldiers dont count...and the fear of death looming over TCs heads was also a figment of our imagination as well, ho sorry I forgot we were all at butlins summer camp, come Piratis start to see you lit the fuse which exploded in your face.

The day you can sincerely and genuinely see us equals partners and agree a solution on this basis will be the day you will unite this island.

Piratis,

Again we are discussing the past. I wanted to discuss the future as George_o suggested but I guess that is just not possible.

Piratis, my good friend, with all due respect your above comments are just not true. I remember the events of 74. I was working in Wardour street with some other TC's where there was a Greek lady working too. I remember, every time we got news of a family member or somebody we knew getting killed we would start shouting and making a scene as to why Turkey is not intervening. The Greek lady was genuinely sympathising with us and was praying for the killings to stop. I don't recollect the exact dates but there were killings of TC's before Turkey arrived.
