Do you mean to say that so long you have had the impression that VP looked and sounded like someone that indeed possessed eyes and brain to see and think? Man, you really need to keep updated. Can't you read the forum to be able to realise the obvious?

I don't get it. In 1974 no TC had died until the invasion of Turkey had started, to which some GCs retaliated by killing a few (compared to the GC casualties) TCs.

The Turkish invasion is responsible for many thousands people being just skulls today. Your support to the criminal barbaric invasion along with the avatar you have chosen symbolizes your support to the butchering of all those thousands of innocent people. What is worst you are still using the same lame excuses 32 years later. That supposedly Turkey invaded Cyprus to save the TCs, while in fact no TC was killed until the invasion had started, and while the only reason that Turkey invaded Cyprus was to occupy 1/3rd of our country, something that on 20th of july 1974 might not have been clear to some, but 32 years after it is clear to everybody, except maybe the Turkish propagandists of your kind.

Hello all!

Wherever I go I see people arguing about the same old things over and over. Almost all discussions are about things of the past. If the future is mentioned it is usually for a threat!

And I am asking: What is the point? Aren't you tired yet?

I would therefore like to propose a better, in my opinion, approach. You can reject it, you have the right to, but at least I will not feel guilty for not saying it.

I propose to make August a month were ONLY the future is discussed and were the discussions are made ONLY by the true CYPRIOTS. And true Cypriots, always in my opinion, are those that believe in one Cyprus and one Cypriot people. Those that don't judge their compatriots based on language or religion. Those that believe that there is just "us", the CYPRIOTS, not "us VS them".

The partitionists, the enosists, the racists and the extremists maybe could take August off. This would not limit their freedom of speech in any way as their position is already well documented in the 95000 posts of this forum and elsewhere. But if we finally manage to have some discussions about the future of Cyprus for the benefit of all Cypriots then who knows, maybe something new and useful will come out.

What do you think?

Piratis,

For God's sake give it a break mate. Your post's are monotonous and tedious to say the least. Look at what George_o is proposing. Lets talk about the future for a while. It can't harm you, it can only help.

mrfromng, viewpoint talked about 1974 and I gave an answer.

In fact I am never the one who starts talking about the past, I am only doing so when I reply to posts about the past.

The reason is simple: I don't need to refer to the past. What I am asking for: Legality, Human rights and democracy for all need no excuse.

Who are always taking us to the past are those that are acting illegally today and are trying to find excuses by selectively choosing tiny parts of history. When they do that, then I simply fill in the gaps in their highly skewed and selective history version which is made up for no other reason that to excuse crimes of TODAY.

You stop referring to the past and be sure I will have no reason to do it either. Can you?

Thank you for your explanation Piratis. The future of Cyprus can be bright for all of us. This however will not happen with us or our leaders accusing one another of what may have happened in the 1500's or 63 or 74. What is important right now is for you guys to say and do the right things for the developments on Greek land to stop. It is imperative this is done sooner than later as each day that goes by means the loss of another 50-100 maybe 300 acres of your land. You and I arguing about 63 or 74 is not stopping the developments.

We should all say and do the right thing, not just Greek Cypriots ;)
