There is no nation on earth that does not serve it's own interest. Like the GC administration is doing as evidenced in the article above.

Why are you saying "GC Administration" like the Turks do?

And how exactly has the US, UK, Turkey, or Israel enslaved you?

They occupy 1/3rd of our country. Just like Israel occupies Palestine, part of Syria and now Lebanon again.

Once again, the RoC has allowed itself to be out foxed by the TRNC / Turkey. They know damn well that the RoC will not agree to this offer, but when the news gets out into the internationl community, guess who looks like the idiot, for not allowing more assistance to the evacuees. This is very similar to saying "NO" to the AP. RoC comes out being the "Bad Guy" in all this. It would have been wise for the RoC to allow this to go forward, not on principle, but on Humanaterian reasons, perhaps to win some "browny points" with the rest of the world.

Zeman is the the world now?? Apart from the 4 countries I mentioned above the rest of the world knows very well what kind of country Turkey is, we don't need to prove anything to them.

Why did RoC protest docking at Famagusta?

Because ships should receive permission to enter ports in Cyprus and only RoC can give such permission. Do you know any country were anybody can get in an out of their ports without permissions for ANY reason?
Cyprus has offered her help and defined which of its ports are legal points of entry.
What RoC did was perfectly correct. Who are wrong are those who are trying to use these refugees to legalize the crimes against some other refugees.

Warped mind its frightening, who wants to live with this mentality, they are in need of a helping hand man who cares who helps them as long as they are saved and taken to safety. You are unbelievable, even humanitarian issues become political with you, stop them doing anything they are illegal, get to grips man and deal with it you sound very sad.

Cyprus has not denied help to anybody. Everybody can enter from the legal ports of entry, right??

So whats your problem?

I will tell you what your problem is: That you want to take advantage of those refugees to legalize your crimes and illegalities against Cyprus.

Because if you were so humanitarian and cared about refugees then you wouldn't illegally keep 200.000 refugees out of their homes, would you?

So go to your friends of Israel, UK and USA, and stop pretending that you care about refugees when you and your buddies are the number one cause that refugees exist.

And by the way, why you didn't reply to this thread in the same way:

An Austrian military airplane bound for Larnaca to pick up evacuees from Lebanon was not allowed into Turkish airspace and was obliged to follow a longer flight plan, an Austrian newspaper reported yesterday.

You have been constitent with this approach and where has it gotten you? any closer to solution today than you were 45 years ago? You really need to revise your attitude towards the north because you do more harm than good, the sad thing is you dont realize it.

Dixi are you so thick or just pretending to be one. Have you heard any commentator referring to Greek Administration , or referring to evacuees arriving in South Cyprus, is it that your stupidity blinds you to the reality that the whole world refers to our Island as Cyprus. It is people like you , Greek and Turkish who demonise our Island and cant wait to see a foreign power take a permanent hold on our island. My Cyprus is not Greek administered is not South Is not North .IT IS CYPRUS . And the whole world refers to it as such.

Does it not strike you as odd that Cyprus during this conflict in Lebanon has never once been referred to as Greek , Turkish , South or West. IT IS CYPRUS THICO.

The Greek Cypriot Administration, striving to hinder the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the international arena, has now attempted to block the evacuation of foreign tourists from Lebanon to Turkish Cyprus.

The Greek Cypriot Administration has threatened that evacuees from Lebanon would face difficulties in Greek Cyprus if they first arrived in Turkish Cyprus. The latest Greek Cypriot declaration has been condemned by the international community, which prioritizes humanitarian aid over political conflicts.

When foreign evacuees from Beirut began to flow into Cyprus, Turkish Cyprus announced that it was ready to host a share of the evacuees. Turkish Cypriot officials opened their ports and prepared hotel accommodation. The UK has also supported the Turkish Cypriot offer.

Greek Cyprus, however, has warned ambassadors that their citizens would face impediments on the Greek side of Cyprus if they first used the Turkish side of the island.

While Greek Cyprus appealed for international help in managing the large influx of evacuees, the ports and hotels on the Turkish side of the island remained empty.

DIXI, it is sad that the turkish army continue to illegally occupy the north of cyprus, also there is NO GREEK CYPRUS or TURKISH CYPRUS

They are just pointing out the divide, do you deny its existence or still do not accept the reality we live every day. Plus has Turkey recognizes us of course they are going to refer to the situation as they see it. We TCs are the people that count not the French or Germans they do not live here on the island and we view the "RoC" has being a GC state for the last 43 years, it doent belong to us and we do not feel part of it, this is something you have to address and not dismiss as unimportant.

Doesn't it makes you sad... that you will have no saying at the settlement of the Cyprus issue... you never did actually, you were always guided by your parents, you enclaved yourselves in the 60's and you still do in 2006... it is really sad, for you.
