How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

c.) Greece, a third country with which and its people I share the same language, religion, customs and values. A country I have visited many times and in which I feel more comfortable than with any other foreign country in the world, and with which I feel very close because of the above reasons.

d.) Turkey, a third country with which and its people I do not share much. A country I have never visited in my life and which up to 2 years ago I was not allowed to visit because I was a Greek Cypriot. A country I know to be very beautiful and reach both in terms of landscape and historical landmarks. A country with whose people I have nothing to split and separate and I could even be friends with, but a country against whose kemalist, neo-ottoman, totalitarian, militaristic and nationalistic ruling regime, ruling elite and ruling ideology I have the most negative feelings and opinion, and a country whose government violates my human, cultural and historical rights for 32 years, by illegally occupying my homeland. A country I am ready to gladly fight against and kick out of my occupied homeland and properties, if the right opportunity to do so arises one day.

Cyprus for all Cypriots
Cyprus is the name used by all international broadcasters when referring to the evacuees arriving in Cyprus , not in south , north Greek or Turkish administered , occupied. The sooner the puppy state in the occupied part of SCyprus understand thsi the sooner we will find a solution that all of our people will be happy to accept. The "Turkification "of my island , and yours , will never be conducive to finding a solution .The "TRNC" will never be recognised bu the International community .There is only one Cyprus for all of us.Turkey , Greece are foreign nations in our country.

Kifeas,

I really enjoyed reading what you wrote earlier on "North Cyprus". If I may just sum the whole thing for you, I would say, it would be like taking a baby away from his /her mothers breast while feeding. You want to be part of your land, because the "feeding of your lands milk" isn't finished yet. I think most of us feel the same way.

Kifeas,

I do not always agree with the things you say, and in particular, the way that you say them, but that was very well written, and also very sad.

I have to say that whilst my allegance lies in the main with the TC's (because of MY understanding of what happened in the past) I feel very sad for All the innocent Cypriots, whether they be TC or GC. A tragedy for all.

No, i mean what is your understanding of what happened in the past. im a turk who seldom sees 'outsiders' sharing similar views to myself on the matter, which your post seemed to suggest you do

Thanx

culture

ok let me elaborate.

Greece: stepping stone of civilization/democracy
Turkey: stepping stone of being stuck up right around 1000BC, and still being governed by the military.

gap=hate. apart from all the wars that go way back. god damn alexander the great shouldnt have been such a douche and kept what he had

recent examples: Iraq/US, Israel/Hesbollah

souroul, can you please do us a favor and go elsewhere to do these kinds of foolish conversations (some coffee shop, pub, playground, etc,) as they are meaningless and totally useless for our subject.

The first thing a truly civilized person knows, is how to respect the culture and civilization of other people and does not try to brag or rub in the face of others his "own." Let others talk about whether your civilization and /or culture is any better than the other ones, and this is what counts and not what you claim yourself about it.
