ISRAEL MURDERS LEBANESE CHILDREN

You know... I truly hope so, i hope that there is peace and partnership with all peoples of the world, and hope we can find a commonality and not dwell so much on difference, the differences i cant abide are those that hurt others, i cant and wont tolorate, people hurting me and others more vulnerable, i hate abuse of power in any shape or form. I believe in the right education, where truth and compassion rule, where understanding and tolerance abide. Not that which works from our insecurities, false beliefs and crap conditioning. I know its not going to happen because it will take years of self searching using all thats available to us, our hearts, mind intellect and emotions, it will never be in my lifetime. Most people are stuck in a time warp, playing an old scenario over and over again. The Cyprus problem on here just goes round in circles, but it never moves anywhere but in the past. Blame and accusations from one side to the next when in reality both sides are to blame. And its very naive of anyone to believe propaganda or deny its existance. Political forces are very clever at disguising truth on both sides, but it serves their purpose. They are rich off the backs of others, there are no honest politicians, just by definition they need to be a powerful position, to have power means there will always be an abuse of it. We are the fools to believe their lies and subtle manipulation. Its no different in England, we end up tolerating the lies and manipulations, because we are lazy, dont care, so long as it doesnt affect our lives too much we tolerate it. Often its cleverly disguised and they bank on the stupidity of people. The apathy and other psychological masks. We may not be able to change the world but we can change ourselves..

ISRAEL USES USA BOMBS TO MURDER LEBANESE CHILDREN

Postby lysi » Mon Jul 31, 2006 2:08 pm

The Israelis are expressing regret , the Hezbollah on the other hand rejoice at their rocket's success in hitting an Israeli hospital .The rockets used by the Hezbollah are being fired from civilian areas , this also has to stop , it only gives the Israelis the excuse to target these areas.

On a different subject Lysi , it is well known that you despise America as well as Britain enormously. May I just ask you to pay some serious attention to this.
Do you realize that there are thousands of G/Cs who are lobbying their respective Parliamentary decision makers both here in the UK and in the States ? Do you realize that IF and consider this carefully , IF the USA and Britain were to recognise the "TRNC" the rest of the world would follow , and we have for ever lost that part of Cyprus .
Do you understand that American recognition will be the end and Partition will be permanent.Hating a nation as powerful as the States is not doing Cyprus any good .

So miltiades we should go along with what the USA & BRITAIN says or else we cypriots will never return to our homes, what bullshit, CYPRUS is allowed to stand up to the USA & BRITISH WARMONGERS,

:o I have to laugh Lysi, your answers and comments are so unintelligent, small minded, one sided and boring.. It dogmatic and judgemental, not really worthy of this forum, or the people on it who seemed to have a more open and intellectual stance. All you do is give one liners and hope someone will bite, i call it attention seeking behaviour and certainly not balanced... Do you think? and is this all you have to offer?

To Miltiades:
My opinion is that Cyprus has always supported the U.S.A and Britain and always ends up the loser. And this is the root of any anti-west feelings you might read here on this forum.
You make it seem like its the other way around, because we dont support them thats the reason why we always end up with the wrong end of the stick.
The policy of the Cypriot goverment would always remain the same towards the west no matter what the feelings of the people are
As for "TRNC" the only reason why the brits havent recognized it yet is because it means the demolition of the Republic of Cyprus which means that their bases are not legit anymore.
Im actually suprised that such a tiny island has managed so far to defend itself politically from the U.S and britain.

How do you indent to to return to your home Lysi . You talked about lobbying Channel 4 and other institutions , but you can not get anywhere unless you are prepared to see the side of the coin too. You have the same approach with Israel , you just refuse to accept that Hizbollah started this mess just as AQ started the Afghanistan war and Iraq to a certain extend.
This is what you said:
"""So miltiades we should go along with what the USA & BRITAIN says or else we cypriots will never return to our homes, what bullshit, CYPRUS is allowed to stand up to the USA & BRITISH WARMONGERS,""

You are still blind to the fact that should America / Britain recognise the " TRNC" then that is IT ! Every other nation will also follow , apart of course from our friends the Cubans , or even Botswana , may be Serbia too.
It is not in the interests of Cyprus to be hostile to the States or Britain. We can look both nations in the eye and put our case across as their allies and not their enemy. At a time when Turkey is intensifying its efforts to gain recognition for the "TRNC" people like you offer a tremendous boost to their efforts to achieve their goal. The permanet partition of our island. The Miltiades of this world are focused on one island for all Cypriots with equal rights and with a constitution that will guarantee all citizens equality under the law . I see no gain for Cyprus supporting terrorist organizations that have as their ultimate goal the annihilation of another nation. And please do nor rush to tell me about all the innocents being killed , I know it and I wish for a speedy ceasefire leading to a permanent solution of this problem. No civilized human would condone the killing of innocents .
I wish to see the Palestinians in their own state where peace will prevail and the Palestinian people will suffer no more , also wish that Israel would go back to the pre- 1967 borders and give peace a chance for their people too. For as long that you have people like Hizbollah and the Iranians wanting the total destruction of Israel wars will go on and the killing will get worst. Israel will not be annihilated , they will take all of the Middle East with them if it ever came to that. And it wont.

NSG , a very good point on the support of our government for the West . The RoC government has shown maturity and understanding of the importance for Cyprus to be viewed as a friendly nation and I applaud them for this.
You must take into account that Cyprus being such a small fish and Turkey being such a massive fish . the Powers to be will always pay more attention to the big fish .It makes our job that much harder being so tiny , and special diplomatic skills are necessary . Recognition of the "TRNC" has not materialized purely because the Americans have not given the go ahead.Britain would still keep the basis no fear of that. We need friends and we need powerful ones . Our government fully appreciates the importance of maintaining friendly relations with America unlike the public who will always demonise America regardless . As we say "americanico daxtilo .
I respect your views and I understand your reservations.

I understand all that has been said above, and I dont as you know always see eye to eye with Lysi. But I have to say its pretty scary stuff when you are kowtowing to the USA and Britain (another US state by all accounts) in case they recognise the TRNC!! They are bullies - they are bullies because combined, they are bigger and better at warfare than probably any other countries in the world. Israel has shown that they will not heed pleas from the rest of the world to stop the killing AND TALK. The USA is terrified that Iran are developing a nuclear bomb, but look at how damaging and unstable and so full of blind hate the Iraelies are - but NEVER has the USA taken up such a stance with them. Any country that attacks inoccent women and children and destroys (against international law) their basic infrastructure like electricity and water supplies should be made to surrender their weapons of mass distruction NOW. I wouldnt like to be their bosom buddy and neighbour!

I have to agree with Theresa on this one. USA and Britain should call for a cease of fire but of course they wont.
