Nice bit of "kit", that photo does it no justice. (I was looking it over in Nicosia on Monday afternoon)

I'd love to blast that through some of the mountain roads!

Hey Biker

Where did you see it in Nicosia?

If you see it again, make sure you say hi and introduce yourself..

Went to the registration office again today, and it looks like we may be making some progress... No rush now as I have insurance for it on the brit plates, but it would be nice to get it sorted for when the tax runs out...

Mr Nicholau is very helpful, and his colleague Mr Panikos did their best to understand the situation... Stand up guys..

0-110 in 3 seconds? are you kidding me? put some wings on it and take it airborne.
as long as you can use it, i dont see the need to register it.
just enjoy it. you can worry about it later

Hehe nah its pretty fast if you can maintain the traction... but maximum top speed is only 129 mph, after that the front lifts too much and you lose steering... remember that the zx12r is geared for over 200mph so you can see the change of gearing means extra umph to cope with the increased weight over the bike..

Even on warm toyo 888 tyres it can easily break traction at the rear as it only weighs 540kg's

The fun part is getting it sideways

Its gonna appear on a tv show called Michanokinito Athlitismos on cybc2 (rik2) if all goes to plan in a few months as it was built to be a road legal hill climber/track day car..

If you see me about in the car, gimme a shout, I am happy to take people for rides if they have the nerve

That car must go like sh1t off a shovel.

The power to weight ratio must be immense.

What box you running? a motorbike sequential or a clutched manual?

Did you build it yourself? At what cost?

Is it quicker than the Ariel Atom?

Hi GG

The power to weight at present is around 370bhp per tonne, once the mr turbo kit goes on it will be much better, more like 650bhp per tonne... :D

It runs a stock motorcycle 6 speed sequential box for fast changes and has a quaiffe reverse box inline with the propshaft to allow 6 reverse gears as well.. lol

Total cost to build was high, at least £15,000 because of the dry sump, inboard suspension, carbon fibre parts, wheels and tyres, heck the engine was £2k b ut has only done 1800 miles before the numpty crashed the bike... hehe.. I can get these built for people at around £10,000 with a small car engine or less ready to fit your own R1 engine for example...

Is it quicker then an ariel atom, well yes in handling and accelleration, but i suspect the atom has a higher top speed with mine limited at 130 mph...

Thing with this car is you HAVE to keep it on the boil to get the best from it, the atom has so much more torque its easier to drive quickly.... but the sound of a bike engine is like nothing else on 4 wheels...

One of the first in cyprus, I have already had some cyp£15k offers on it, if I get one for around £20k once its registered then I may let it go... or maybe not

:D

Whats the donor vehicle and where is the kit made?

You mentioned carbon fibre, surely the body is not carbon fibre.!!!

As much as I love the thought of the quickshifts of a sequential I am a lover of torque and I imagine in town the peaky bike engine will be a headache to drive. hat kind of car engines could it fit? K-series etc? I am quite anti-turbo so I'd fancy a nice torquey naturally aspirated lump, something like an M3, could the chassis cope?

My prediction for yours is that the gearbox will go first, with such immense acceleration and such a heavy car (in comparison to the bike it was designed for) its likely to be the weakest link especially of you plan on fitting some soft compound semi slicks. The force on the diff and box at such acceleration is immense.

Gimme a price for a finished car and I will supply the engine. ///M :D

do i have the nerve? haha, i'm all for it, all day long. too bad i'm in limassol. i have to give you props though, its a lovely looking machine you got there. you might want to consider adding a front spoiler to get those wheels on the ground at high speeds. a diffuser wouldnt hurt either.

GG, is there any chance you can source a 6spd manual ///M gearbox for me?

Not a problem, which box do you want?

The E36 Evo 3.2 version or the E46 version.

I assume you are not after the M5 one.
