mtfrong , you know my views on the Cyprus issue , you say what else have you got , well I tell you what you have , you have Cyprus , just as we all have, but insisting on this "Turkish " and North bit , referring to Cyprus as South or Greek administered is for me an insult. All international news coverage of the current conflict with Cyprus the recipient of evacuees , do not refer to South Cyprus , Greek administered Cyprus , North Cyprus or any other name apart from the appropriate name CYPRUS. Your Cyprus and mine.We covered this ground many times before .I'm a bloody Cypriot and you are my compatriot , only with this attitude will eventually Cyprus be one nation, just as the world refers to one Cyprus so must we.
I don't give a damn whether Turkey recognises Cyprus or not , but I genuinely believe that the Turkish establishment (mainland ) want to see a solution to this problem. I don't mind telling you that I do business in the UK , direct with Turkey , have met and still do Turkish Mainland business people and all I hear is we want a solution so that all Cypriots can be united and live peacefully with each other. You can be my neighbour provided you can play a decent game of Tavli .
